AUTHOR'S NOTE: This chapter is not edited because I do not have Microsoft at the moment. Also, updates are going to be slow and maybe short because school is starting in two days, well, in one day now because it's 12 am here. Anywho, give me lucky for the first day of being....you can't know! Enjoy!

Denis grabbed my hand as we walked away from the school. Of course Chase complained because we were supposed to be in school and get an education but the education we had was different from normal people.

Chase and Serge walked ahead of us looking in the sky. I tried to focus on Chase to make sure he wasn't going anywhere but Denis kept pulling me to him, kissing my cheek every once in a while. Serge would glance at us with a hurt look on his face. I wanted to ask him what's his deal but I didn't want Denis and Serge arguing again. We almost crossed the street when I stopped walking, stopping Denis with me.

He turned around and said, "What's wrong, Ed?"

I took out my phone from my back pocket and checked the time.

"Denis, what's today?" I asked as I put my phone back in my pocket.

"Monday," he raised an eyebrow, "why?"

Shit. I forgot I had it today. "I have to go. Chase!"

Chase turned around and put his arms up, telling me what?

"I have to go somewhere! Take Denis home!"

He gave me a confused look before nodding. I was surprised he didn't ask me where I was going. I guessed he got distracted of the snow. I looked at Denis and he didn't look to happy. I leaned over to him and kissed his cheek, not moving back, staring into his eyes.

"I'll see you around," I whispered. I leaned back and watched his reaction. He looked baffled. He lifted my pale hand in front of his lips and gently kissed them. My cheeks flushed and I pulled my hands away from his. I gave him a small smile before turning around and made my way to school.

I rushed to the music room and opened the door to see my band mates. They looked up from what they were doing and some nodded or smiled. I nodded back and locked the door behind me. I walked towards the vocalist, Rene, and he went to business.

"We have a gig!" Rene shouted. The band mates dropped everything that were in their hands and rushed towards us, throwing questions. I put a hand up to silence them and they did. Rene continued. "It's on Monday but a few years from us."

They groaned and grabbed their stuff from the floor.

"Dude, I told you to get us a gig from THIS year. How many times to I have to tell you this?" I said annoyingly.

Rene rolled his eyes. "You didn't let me finish. I heard a guy with a black suit would come to The Blue Butterfly and he check bands that come on. Also, he works for riserecords. We might be that band! Don't give up so quickly!"

I sucked my teeth and looked away. The Blue Butterfly was a coffee shop but at night it was a rock show. People would come and head bang to any band that got on that stage. I didn't let Rene see that I was happy that we got to play in The Blue Butterfly.

I turned my mic on and checked to see if it worked while the others set up their instruments. Rene was the clean vocalist while I was the unclean vocalist. Logan played lead guitar and background vocalist, Alex played rhythm guitar, and Arnie played the drums. I cleared my throat and whispered the lyrics. I looked up when Rene called my name.

"You ready?" He asked and put the strap crossed his chest.

I nodded and watched as Arnie and Rene started playing. Rene started singing his lines.
