"It's my left arm." JJ explained sitting on the exam table.
"Where?" You asked, pulling out your workout binder.
You had been JJ's personal trainer for a few months now, and things have been running smoothly.
"Elbow" he told you, extending him arm back and forth.
"Then I guess it's leg day." You told him with a laugh.
He chuckled and slid off the table
"Ellie, you're a girl right?" He asked while you were helping him stretch.
"Last time I checked."
"It didn't sound like that in my head." He explained.
"It's fine, why?"
He took a deep breath, "I need your help."
"With...?"
You had started the warm up, which was lunges.
"This is embarrassing." He admitted, his cheeks turning pink.
"What is is?"
He lunged a few times before speaking again.
"I like this girl, and she's out of my league."
You fake gasped, "girl trouble?"
He smirked, "shut up."
"Hey, straighten your back!" You commanded temporarily slipping back into trainer mode.
"How do I ask her out?"
You thought a minute, "tell her what you like about her."
"Okay, I like your sense of humor." He said.
You smiled, "yeah stuff like that, she'll love it."
"No, I..." He trailed off.
When it finally all clicked together on your mind you felt dumb, "oh!"
"Yeah." He said laughing, "will you go out with me Ellie?"
You smiled, "After we work out of course."
"Of course."
