For -theslayage- thank you for requesting.
"Bre! You're home! Finally!" Josh ran up to you as you unlocked the front door.
"I only went to the store." You told him, showing him your grocery bags.
You placed the bags on the counter, "So why are you in my apartment?"
He took a seat on a bar stool, "You didn't answer my calls, I didn't know if you were over here...with someone else." He trailed on, you knew exactly what he meant.
"Two years, and you still don't trust me?" You asked, looking at the five missed calls from Josh.
"I'm sorry, you're too good for me." He admitted sheepishly.
"That excuse stopped being cute a while ago." You told him, taking a seat in the bar stool to his left.
"It's hard for me to trust, Bre, you know that better than anyone."
"Remember when we first started dating?" He nods, "I trusted you about as far as I could throw you." You admitted.
"I remember, you thought I was a typical player." He added.
"Exactly, but I moved past it. Because love comes along with trust. I put all my energy into loving you."
"Bre, I love you, a lot."
You smiled, "I know you do, that's why I'm asking you to trust me too."
He looked down at his hands so you continued, "We can't go on together, or build a future with suspicious minds."
He turned to you, "I'm going to try harder, for you."
You kissed him on the check, "You'd better. I can't possibly marry a man who doesn't trust me."
"I love you Bre, and I trust you too."
"I can't wait for the day when you mean that last part."
