For Dunnz23 thank you for requesting! I love your stories, it means a lot that you requested!
"Mommy, they're hurting him!" Your daughter turned to you, her upper lip quivering.
"Come here baby." She rested her head on your shoulder, as the two of you watch Tom struggle to get up from that last hit.
This game has been nothing less than a battle, and to say your husband has taken a beating was an understatement.
You sat on the edge of your seat as the clock winded down, closing your eyes you listened to the announcer;
"Brady drops back, he's under pressure, throws as he goes down. Touch down Patriots! Rob Gronkowski! I don't know how he caught that, but he just won a super bowl."
It was a surreal moment, and it wasn't until the confetti started to fall did you realize what had happened. Everyone in the box was screaming, and cheering; including your young daughter Riley.
"Riley, let's go see daddy!" You grabbed her hand and followed the families to the field.
"Daddy!" She yelled, as Tom kneeled down to her level, accepting a hug.
"I won, I told you I would." Tom stated.
"You almost didn't!" She teased.
"But I did, and I did it for you, and mommy." He laughed as he kissed her cheek, and tucked her hair behind her ear.
Although the field was chaos, it wasn't long before Tom's dad instincts finally kicked in;
"Hey, you haven't been crying have you ?" He asked, picking her up.
"You got hit a lot." She told him, you couldn't argue with that.
"Look at me, I'm fine." He assured her, while kissing her on the cheek.
"Cross your heart?" She asked, biting her lip.
"Cross my heart." He replied making an "x" motion across his chest.
"And my darling, Casey!" Tom grabbed you and swiftly planted a kiss on your lips.
"I'm so proud of you Tommy" you whispered in his ear, hugging him tightly.
"Good game?" He asked
"I thought I was going to go into labor in the 3rd quarter!" You joked.
Still holding Riley, he placed a hand on your pregnant stomach.
"I'm so glad you're here, all 3 of you."
"We're so proud of you, aren't we Riley?"
She nodded her, but she was more captivated by the confetti at this point.
"Daddy, let's make a confetti angel!" She wiggled from his arms and laid on to the ground, mimicking the motions of a snow angel.
Tom joined in soon after, "Come on Mommy join us!" He said tickling Riley.
"Oh no, I wouldn't be able to get up!" You replied, resting your hands on your stomach.
As you watched your joyful husband play with your daughter you knew that you had made the right choice, and you had never been more grateful for them.
Riley was running around with some of her uncles when Tom hugged you again.
"Without your support, I would not be here." Tom Says sternly in you ear.
"No place I'd rather be, that with you. I really am proud, you know?"
"I love you, Casey."
"I love you more."
