Under Your Spell (Severus Snape/Student)

=Chapter 27=

I slammed my cup down, "What the hell do you want from me, Severus?"

He took the seat directly across from me. "To make sure you don't do anything stupid like the act that you were about to commit.", pointing to the partially spilt cup still in my hand.

"Why the hell do you care?! It is not yours!" At this point, I was steaming with angry and everyone around us started to stare at the commotion. What gives him the right to care or even talk to me after all that he has done? 

"I care because...", he started, but then decided to swiftly grab my arm and drag me out of the little pub. I tried to pull my arm away from him, but his grip was too tight. Damn him. He is manhandling me. After a few minutes of getting dragged down the road he pulled me into an alley and pinned me against the wall with my hands above my head. 

Severus leaned down to my ear, "Listen here you daft dimbo. I've never needed to explain myself to anyone, but you were always the exception. I have always cared about you and I regret everything that I have ever done to you. I did it to protect you from You Know Who as he was trying to find a weakness in me. You were my weakness - I couldn't let him find out. He would have hurt you and took you away from me forever. That baby is not mine, but I'm willing to be there to help you with him if you will give me that second chance." He released my hands and took a step back.

I stood there frozen against the wall trying to first take in the proximity of how close Severus just was to me and second what he just told me. He did it to protect me, damn. Why didn't he tell me this earlier instead of having me think that he was a cold dungeon bat from the very start. And wait, did Severus just say him? 

"Him?"

"I never want to see you putting yourself in danger like that again or even the baby's health! Ok?" He totally avoided the subject and started walking away. 

"Where are you going?" I yelled after him.

"We are going to apperate back to the castle before you catch a cold."

I pointed to my stomach and he caught on quickly.

"Right... Well unfortunately we need to walk because of the baby, but you are wearing my coat." He ordered as he placed the coat on my shoulders.

Severus was like that the entire week - very gentleman like. He let me sit in the back of all of his classes, I'd help him grade papers and once he was done with work he would take me out for a walk or surprise me with dinner. He is really starting to win my heart back. 

The door slammed as the last student left the room and it brought my attention back to reality. 

"So Ms.Caffery, what would you like to do today?" Yes, I'm officially divorced. I let Chris have everything because I didn't want anything to remind me of him. 

"I know you always have something up your sleeve, Severus. What did you want to do?"

"I was thinking we could stay in and watch one of those muggle movies that you like." He said as he reached out for my hand and helped me up from the chair.

"Why don't we do something that you want to do for a change?" I intertwined fingers with him and rested the other on top of my baby bump. Severus led us out of the classroom as we headed towards his little flat. 

"We are doing something that I want to do and that is to be with you and of course the little one." He smirked at me and put his hand on my stomach lightly rubbing it. 

"Ah, just the two I was looking for." The Headmaster said bringing us out of the little moment we were having.

Severus quickly snapped back to his old self. Standing tall now with the scowl on his face he spoke in a monotone voice, "How can we help you, Headmaster?" 

The Headmaster put a hand on Sev's shoulder, "Dear Merlin, Severus be yourself around me. I wouldn't dare tell a soul that you have a heart." The Headmaster winked at me and we both giggled.

"Now, I need you two to whip up a batch of Venomous Tentacula juice by tomorrow morning."

"Perfect, Severus and I were going to stay in and watch some muggle flims anyways." I said happily as it would be like old times for Severus and I.

"Ooo. Could I join?" The Headmaster asked ans Severus was quick to clear his throat.

"On second thought, my spectacales aren't good enough to see those things anymore. Ta Ta you love birds." He said as he walked away.

I turned around quickly and punched Severus in the arm. 

"Ouch! What was that for?"

"For being mean to Dumbledore. He wanted to watch those films with us."

"I can give it to him later to watch. This is my time with you." Severus quickly took my hand and continued to him flat. Severus made me choose a film while he started to brew the ingredients. Jane Eyre it is.

I sprawled out on Severus's bed and waited for him to come.

"Start it." He slid in right beside me lifting me up so that my head was on his chest. I intertwined my legs with his and pretended that I was watching the movie, but in actuality I was listening to his heartbeat. I felt his hand land on my stomach and rubbing circles on my belly. Then he kissed my forehead and that would be the most intimate that we have ever done since I moved in with him. In shock, I looked up at him and just as expected as it was unexpected his lips came crashing down on mine.
