Under Your Spell (Severus Snape/Student)

It's been four months since I moved in with Severus. He has been nothing, but helpful and supportive. He calls in a substitute to cover for his classes just so he can come with me to check-ups for the baby. I think Severus has a thing for listening to the babies heart beat as his eyes just light up. He treats this baby as his own. He talks to my baby bump, rubs it, feels for its kicks and he enjoys every minute of it. Today we have an appointment to find out the baby's gender.

"Are you ready to go, dear?" Severus yelled from the kitchen.

"I'm coming!" It always seemed like Severus was so much more excited than I was to go to these appointments for me it was just one hell of a walk. 

I made my way to the door and Severus stuck out his arm for me to hold onto, "Shall we?"

I nodded. We passed a few students in the hallway and Severus could only scowl at them. I giggled quietly.

"Now what in Merlin's sake are you laughing at?" Severus asked looking at me.

"Those poor children are utterly confused. You scowl at them yet you are letting me hold onto your arm. You make them think you are heartless, but then you show acts of kindness."

"Mind Fucked is what I like to call it." He planted a kiss on my forehead.

"Why are you so rude to them?" 

"Look how rude I was with you and you fell in love with me."

"I hope you aren't planning to make anyone of your students fall in love with you." 

"Yup, a previous student." He points at me with his free hand.

I smirked, "Yeah, nice save Severus."

"Alright Ms.Caffery are you ready for the moment of truth?" The doctor asked. 

I looked at Severus and we both said "Yes".

The doctor placed his wand over my now ginormous baby bump and a picture projected onto the wall of the room. We started to hear a heartbeat. "Well, the baby sounds and looks healthy."

"Any guess on what it is, Mr Snape."

"Girl." I said.

"Boy." Severus said. 

The doctor laughed, "Mr.Snape is right."

"Of course he is."

"Surprise!" The whole Hogwarts staff  and my parents yelled as I walked through the doors of the Great Hall. A surprise it was. There was a whole table full of presents and another one full of food. I went straight to the food line until I felt a hand rest on my lower back as it slowly slid lower. 

"Sit your sexy little arse down. You are not supposed to be overworking yourself."  Severus whispered in my ear very very sexily I may add. Wow, where did this side come from? I flushed red and obediently obeyed his command quickly finding a seat right next to the Headmaster.

"Ah, my dear. May I?" He asked referring to putting his hand on my belly to feel the baby kick and sure enough the baby kicked as the Headmaster laid his hand down. "A strong little fellow he will be." 

Severus brought a huge plate of food. All of my favorites too! Man, when you are pregnant you don't hold back one bit when it comes to eating properly. 

When I was stuffed everyone gathered in a circle and started to hand me gifts to open. Of course the Headmaster wanted me to open his first. The gift was pretty large in size and was very neatly wrapped. As I tore it open, I saw that it was a black and blue crib. The gifts kept coming. There was onesies, bibs, bottles, pacifiers and so much more! I started to feel tears roll down my eyes because of everyone's contribution. 

"Dear god woman, don't cry." My Mum said as she hugged me. I'm so happy my parents could make it. I haven't seen them in a while. The last time I saw them was when I told them what happend with Chris. My Dad showed up almost immediately with a baseball bat to beat the hell out of Chris. My Mum showed up with some homemade cookies and milk. That's when they also go the news that they will be grandparents. I've been writing them almost every week since then on progress with the baby and Severus. This is the first time they are meeting him as well.

I quickly wiped the tears away and blew my nose quickly to get rid of any evidence that I was crying. The last present was from my parents. It was just an envelope that said, 'Ariana and Severus' on it.

I quickly tore open the top of the envelope and it reveled a few papers stapled together. I started to read them and quickly spotted out "Homeowner". My parents bought Severus and I a house! I couldn't hold back my tears any longer . I ran up to the both of them and hugged them tightly. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I yelled in excitement.  Severus walked up behind me and thanked my parents as well though with a handshake and his very "meaningful" words. 

Severus turned to me, "Darling, go grab yourself some more dessert because I know you want more and I will be right back." He kissed my fore head and I walked away. As I grabbed my dessert plate, I saw that Severus took my parents to a very far corner of the room. 

I watched as my parents nodded every time Severus would say something and within a few minutes the conversation ended with my Mum kissing Severus on the cheek and my Dad shaking his hand. Now what was that all about? I watched carefully as Severus got himself some champagne and said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, This night is not only about the little one on the way, but with the blessing of her parents I would like to..." He paused and walked over to me. Placing his glass on the table and pulling a small box out of his pocket. He got on one knee and continued, "ask for your hand in marriage." 

I stood there dumbfounded at the question that was just asked of me until I heard Severus clear his throat and it struck me that I was going to finally be with the one person that makes me feel complete.

"Yes!" I bent down and kissed Severus. There was awwws and cheers, but there was also a very handsome man in front of me. The kiss started to get a bit intense and I heard my Dad clear his throat. Within, a split second Severus and I jumped a part as if we were teenagers caught in the hallway after curfew. We both looked at each other and laughed a little. 

"Well everyone it has been a nice night and so much surprises. Though I do believe that we should leave these two love birds alone to see their new house." The Headmaster announced as he winked at us.

And with that, all the Staff Members left to finish correcting term papers or decided to call it a night. My parents gave me a quick hug and kiss and ran off to who knows where.

Severus took pulled me by he hand without any explanation to the front of the castle where a two Thestrals and a carriage awaited.
