~Tamotsu's P.O.V.~
I bumped my head against the window, jolting awake. I shook my head and rubbed my eyes. I looked down, tiny pale hands wrapped around my waist. I turned my head slightly, a sleeping Sayuri snoring lightly on my back. "Sayu-chan.." I whispered, my cheeks heating up. I cringed, feeling the urge to go. Ugh, why do I have to pee at this exact moment??? I slammed my hand onto my forehead, cursing under my breath. Sayuri began to stir, tightening her grip on my waist. I huffed, trying to hold it for a little longer. I looked across over at Hana, who was rolling up her blanket and pillow.
"Attention. We will be arriving in Magnolia in approximately five minutes." The conductor said over the loudspeaker. Sayuri lifted her head, her breath running down my spine. I shivered, my cheeks heating up again. "Is it time to go already...?" She yawned. Sayuri looked down, realizing her hands were wrapped around my waist. "AHH! U-Uh-- Sorry, Tamo. I didn't realize I'd fallen asleep.." She blushed, looking down. "No big deal." I smiled awkwardly, running my hand through my ruffled black hair. "If you'll excuse me, I have to go... y'know... use the bathroom." I quickly got up and ran as fast as I could to the bathroom.
As I stepped into the small room, an overwhelmingly horrible stench engulfed my senses. I quickly unzipped my pants and did my business. I stepped over to the small sink and quickly washed my hands, staring into the small mirror. Ruffled black hair, piercing purple eyes, light tan skin, a double ear piercing. I moved the hair away from my eyes, tucking it behind my ear. I slid the door open and stepped out, returning back to my seat.
"Now arriving in Magnolia! Prepare to exit the train." The conductor said. I muttered under my breath. Sayuri stood up and walked over to Hana. She scooped the sleepy Hana into her arms, cradling her. I smiled. She really is great. I picked my backpack up and rose to my feet.
~Sayuri's P.O.V.~
I walked down the aisle, Hana cradled in my arms. Tamotsu followed behind me as we exited the train. As we stepped off of the train, I looked up at the pitch black sky. Tamotsu poked me. I glanced back at him, rolling my eyes as I continued walking. We exited the station and headed down the road into town.
"Shmoof..." Hana mrrowed in her sleep. I looked down at her and smiled. Suddenly, I felt another intense pain in my foot and felt myself falling forward. I squeaked, quickly shutting my eyes closed and bracing myself for impact. I felt something grab the back of my dress, pulling me back up to my feet. I opened my eyes and turned around, facing a giggling Tamotsu. "Oi Sayu-chan, someone really needs to teach you Gravity Magic." He giggled. I rolled my eyes. "Maybe I could arrange for that Kagura from Mermaid Heel to give you lessons." Tamotsu laughed harder. "Bastard.." I cursed under my breath. I continued walking down the road, Hana still fast asleep in my arms.
"Sayuri, isn't it a bit too late to be wandering around? We should just go check into an inn or something." Tamotsu advised. "Right." I examined the street, searching for any inns. "I know of one that's nearby. Follow me." Tamotsu took the lead and headed down a narrow alley. We slipped through the alley, entering what appeared to be the main road. Tamotsu waved, pointing to a building with the words Sakura Inn imprinted on the front. We walked into the building and were greeted by a little boy. "Hello! How may I help you?" The boy smiled. "We need a room with two beds." Tamotsu ordered. "Yessir!" He nodded to Tamotsu and turned towards me. The little boy looked me up and down. I smiled awkwardly and pretended to look at the paintings on the wall. "Kawaii-chan.." The little boy muttered, staring at me. I backed up into the door. "Heh... So do you have a room?" Tamotsu asked. "Yessir! Pay first." The little boy held out his hand. Tamotsu dug around in his backpack, pulling out a few wrinkled bills. He handed them to the boy. The little boy scurried around behind the counter, returning with a key. He winked at me as Tamotsu and I began to walk up the stairs. Creepy little boy... I shuddered and began to search for room 27. We walked down the hallway in silence. 23, 25, ah! Room 27, here we are! I quickly unlocked the door and entered the room. I examined the room carefully. Eh. No kitchen. Ah, a small lacrima vision and a couch. Wonderful. I looked over where the beds were supposed to be. I stared in shock. ONE BED?! WHAT THE-- "Ugh. Little bastard ripped me off. Well, I'm off to sleep. Goodnight, Sayu-chan." Tamotsu set his backpack down next to the couch, tossing himself onto the couch. I rolled my eyes. "Goodnight, Tamo-chan." I smiled and walked over to the bed. I carefully set Hana down at the edge of the bed. "Prrr....." Hana snored. "Goodnight, Hana." I leaned over, kissing her soft pink fur. I crawled into the bed, burying myself in the blankets. I reached over, turning off the light that had been left on. I rested my head on the pillow and closed my eyes, drifting off to sleep.
"Rise and shine, sleeping Sayu-chan!" I woke up, frantically kicking my legs. "OW!" I heard Tamotsu yell. I sat up, rubbing my eyes. I looked over at Tamotsu, who was hugging himself on the floor. "Oh, sorry." I said as I climbed out of bed. "Sayuri, that hurt." Tamotsu pouted. "I said I was sorry. At least now you know what to expect in the mornings." I muttered as I walked over to a small hanging mirror. I held my hair up with my hand and searched for a rubber band. I pulled one out of my satchel and wrapped it around my hair, forming a messy bun. I grabbed a fresh set of clothes from my satchel and stepped into the small bathroom. Jeez, everything is so tiny in this place. I slipped my shirt off and began to put my new clean shirt on.
Thud. Thud.
I stopped, hearing something outside the door. "Oi! Who are you?" I heard Tamotsu yell.
Thud. Thud.
"Sayu-chan!" Tamotsu screeched. I ran out of the bathroom, my clean shirt around my neck. I stared in shock at the intruder, terrified at what I saw.
