"You're welcome." I handed the old man the red eye encased in iron ice and shot him a fake smile. He smiled back at me, handing me a small stack of money. "50,000 for each of you!" He handed another stack to Tamotsu and another to Hana. "Thanks, Jiji!" Tamotsu smiled, waving the money in his hand. We exited the shop silently. I took the lead as we began to head over to the train station.

"Hey, Sayu-chan!" Tamotsu skipped over to my side. He began whistling a tune. I rolled my eyes and sighed, turning away from Tamotsu. I began to walk faster, trying my hardest to exaggerate my anger.

"Oi! Saaaayuuuu-chaaaannn?" Tamotsu rolled his tongue. "What." I growled. "Y'know, I was wondering if you might have a happiness-inducing potion in that satchel of yours..?" I turned around in front of Tamotsu, slapping him across the face. "Owowowowowowowowowowowowowowow!" Tamotsu rubbed his red cheek. "Oi! What was that for?!" He jumped in front of me, stomping his foot. I huffed in anger and walked around him. "Oi! Sayuri! Answer my question!" He ordered. I narrowed my eyes and scowled, aware that Tamotsu couldn't see my face. That doesn't mean I won't sound as terrifying. I smirked. "Oi! Sayuri--" "Shut. Up." I growled, interrupting him. "Aye!" Tamotsu squeaked, mimicking Hana's voice. "Now that you're quiet, what's with the new nickname? Sayu-chan...?" I turned around and began to walk backwards. "Heh..." Tamotsu blushed, running his hand through his hair. "Hm?" I looked at him. "I just thought, y'know, since we're friends now.." He muttered. I smiled at him. "I guess you're right, Tamo-chan." I winked at him and giggled. "Oi! I never said you could call me that!" He narrowed his eyes. "Well, since we're friends now.." I teased. Tamotsu looked at the ground and muttered to himself.

"Hey, you picked the last job. It's my turn now." I mentioned. "Well, what do you have in mind?" Tamotsu asked. "Oh! Oh! Sayuri, I have an idea!" Hana looked at me and waved her paw in the air. "Go ahead, Hana." I sighed. "We could go fishing!!" She squealed, licking her lips. "Maybe next time. We still need to find somewhere to live for a while. Until then, we need to go make some more money so we can buy or rent out a place." I turned around, digging in my satchel for the money we earned. "Aye, but we also need fish! I-I mean food." Hana waved her paws in the air. "Let's find somewhere to stay first. Any ideas for a town to stay at?" I asked. "Clover Town and Onibus are nice." Tamotsu suggested. "Hmm.." I pictured both towns in my head. "I heard that Onibus doesn't have any wizard guilds. There must be loads of jobs waiting to be done there! Most of them are sent to Fairy Tail in Magnolia, though." Hana exclaimed. "Well, as soon as we arrive, I'm sure jobs will be pouring through our door!" Tamotsu smiled. "Okay, I guess we can go." I smiled back. "Aye! Annnnnnnd Onibus isn't far from one of the amazing fishing spots I know of!" Hana squealed. "Okay, but first we have to catch a train to Onibus." I advised.

We headed down the road towards the train station. "All aboard! Departing to Magnolia in five minutes!" The conductor yelled. I looked at Tamotsu. "Hurry!" I called out to Tamotsu and Hana. I began to run. I closed my eyes, feeling the breeze brushing my face. Suddenly, I felt an intense pain in my toe and was flung down to the ground, face first. "OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! OUCH!" I screamed, slowly sitting up. I felt my body lift of the ground smoothly. "Aye! We have to get going!" Hana scolded as she lifted me off the ground. "Are you well enough to run?" She asked. "My knees are bleeding." I sighed. I looked down at my legs, both of them covered in blood. Thank goodness the cuts aren't too deep-- OUCH! Never mind, this one's pretty deep. I cringed at the deep cut on my left knee. Hana flew faster, catching up to Tamotsu. "Oi, Sayuri! What happened?" Tamotsu examined my legs. He didn't even realize I fell. Wow, what a great friend he is. Bastard. "I tripped over something, but Hana was able to pick me up." I looked down at the ground. Tamotsu and Hana slowed down, coming to a complete stop. I looked up, the train station appearing before my eyes. "Train 437 departing for Magnolia in approximately one minute!" The conductor yelled. Hana quickly flew me up to the ticket booth, Tamotsu running at our side. "Three tickets for Magnolia, please." Tamotsu requested, holding out a wrinkled bill to the woman at the desk. She handed him three tickets and pointed to the train. Hana flew me over to the train, Tamotsu running beside us again. We handed the conductor our tickets. He ripped off the ends and handed the remaining pieces back to us. "Train 437 now departing for Magnolia!" The conductor yelled as the three of us boarded. I quickly grabbed onto one of the metal bars, clinging onto it as the train began to move.

"Aye, Sayuri! Come on, we need to get a seat!" Hana scolded and pulled me away from the metal bar. I scrambled in the air frantically, reaching out for something to hang onto as the train began to gain speed. "Sayuri! Pull yourself together!" Hana narrowed her eyes at me as she set me down on one of the seats. Tamotsu set down next to me, taking the window seat. Hana unhooked herself from the back of my dress and sat on the seat across from Tamotsu and I. She pulled out a small pillow and blanket from her bag, fluffing the pillow and throwing the blanket over herself. She curled up in the corner of the seat and fell asleep. I winced at the stinging pain in my left knee. I pulled my knee to my chest and examined it. I reached into my satchel and pulled out a small cloth, wrapping it around my left knee. Blood slowly began to seep through the cloth.

"Hey, Sayuri. Let me look at that." Tamotsu turned towards me, his face inches from mine. I gulped, bringing my left leg onto Tamotsu's lap. He undid the cloth and examined my scrape. He turned towards the window and rummaged through a small backpack. I didn't think that idiot would bring something with him. I guess he's less of a moron than I though he was... Tamotsu placed a hand under my leg, holding it up. I quickly patted down my dress, making sure he wasn't able to look under. "You're okay. It's not like I'm a pervert or anything." He muttered. "Sure.." I rolled my eyes. I looked over at Hana, her little pink head hidden under her tiny blanket. I leaned my head against the seat and closed my eyes. "Oi, don't move. I'm trying to fix you here." Tamotsu scolded. He removed a shirt from his bag and began to tear it to shreds. I looked up and watched him wrap a thick strip of his shirt around my knee.

"Arigatou.." (Thank you) I whispered. Tamotsu nodded at me and smiled. He blushed, running his hand through his hair. "Oi, Sayuri. Why did you decide to partner up with me?" Tamotsu asked out of nowhere. "U-Uh, what makes you bring that up?" I stuttered. "Just wondering. Not many people would want to partner up with a kid like me." He leaned his head back against the seat. "Well, I guess you seemed nice. I-I mean-- You seemed like a brave, loyal, strong guy, so I-I thought it'd be n-nice to be partners with y-you, y'know, i-if you asked..." I stammered, my mouth refusing to produce words. "Why did you ask me in the first place?" I asked. "You battled me, won, and basically made it out without a scratch. You were obviously a tough opponent. Like my uncle once said: 'If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.' Plus, I saw determination and adventure in your eyes. I wanted to get to know you more." Tamotsu's cheeks began to turn red and he turned over, facing the window. I smiled at him, wrapping my arms around his stomach and hugged him. "U-Uh-- Sayuri..?" Tamotsu looked over at me, his cheeks turning as red as Erza Scarlet's hair. He blinked at me, unsure of what to do. I closed my eyes.

"Arigatou, Tamotsu." I whispered.
