I sighed and gazed upon the empty room. Sayuri, Hana, and the others will be back soon. I touched the long scar on my cheek and winced at the stinging pain. I moved my hand down to my stomach, cringing as I gently traced the stitches that were keeping my body in tact. I heaved myself into a sitting position and stared at the wall.

"Good morning, Kiyumizu-kun." A girl around my age entered the room. She perched himself on the chair next to my bed and leaned over me. "In order to heal you, you must be laying down." She ordered, her voice nearly a whisper. I nodded and slowly laid my fragile body back onto the bed.

Master Sting said there would be a better healer arriving today.

"That's good." The blue-haired girl smiled and placed her hands above my wounded body. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. The girl muttered something that I couldn't understand.

"There. You should be fully healed by midday, with the exception of a few things." She said. "What do you mean?" I asked. "Your body will be back to normal in a few hours. Of course, my healing magic can only do so much. You'll still have some obvious scars and there may be some occasional pain in your stomach, since the wound is so serious. Other than that, you should be fine and able to move again." She stood up and smiled. "Well, I must be off then. I have to meet up with some guild mates for a job soon. I'm glad I could be of use to you!" The girl called out as she ran out the door.

"Thanks.." I muttered. I rolled onto my side and fell into a deep sleep.

"That's the last of 'em!" Rogue yelled. All eight of us headed back to the magic vehicle and hopped in. "Here, Yukino. I'll sit in the middle this time." I smiled, allowing Yukino to get in first. "Oh, thank you." She returned the smile. I climbed in after her, setting Hana in my lap as we drove back to the guild.

---

"Tamotsu! You're healed? Already?!" I exclaimed, spotting Tamotsu eating a slice of cake at one of the tables as we entered the guild. "Yeah. Master Sting had a powerful healer come in to treat me." He bragged. I ran up to him and wrapped my arms around him, squeezing him tightly. "Now that we're all better, we can go back home! We'll do jobs like we used to, just the three of us." I smiled.

"W-Well... I've been thinking... Wouldn't it be better to stay here? We could join Sabertooth and not have to worry about being attacked and not having enough strength. In a guild, everyone has your back. Plus, your brother is here." Tamotsu looked down at the ground. "B-But, I want to go on far away adventures with my best friends! I know that my brother is here, but we can always visit, right?" I suggested. "Sayuri,... Even if you won't join, I'm going to join Sabertooth."

~Tamotsu's P.O.V.~

I sighed, barely forcing the words from my mouth. If I stay, she'll want to stay. It'll be safer for her, here. I looked away from Sayuri.

"T-Tamotsu.. I'm not ready for a guild yet! I'm sorry... I-I... Well, you know that I had b-bad experiences with guilds! I know this place is different, but I'm just not ready yet! I'm sorry, I really am..." Tears slid down Sayuri's cheeks. "I'm sorry, I have to go.." She squeaked. She spun around and ran out of the guild, leaving a path of iron ice snowflakes floating down to the ground behind her.

I ran out of the guild and chased after Sayuri.

"Sayuri, come back!" I yelled. I spotted Sayuri running down a dirt path into the forest. I held out my hand. "Sayuri!!" I called out. Sayuri turned her head, tears spilling down her cheeks. She mouthed a few words to me and disappeared.

~Sayuri's P.O.V.~

I teleported into a nearby oak tree and held onto one of its branches. I looked down at Tamotsu, who had stopped running. He walked over to the oak tree I was in and leaned against it. I sat down on the branch, my legs dangling down from the tree.

"Oh, Sayuri. Why do I always say the wrong things when I'm around you?" Tamotsu muttered. "How can you be so strong, and I so weak..? I'm supposed to protect you, not put you in danger.." He sniffed. What does he mean..? Tamotsu is the strongest person I've ever met.

Boom.

I jumped up and latched onto the tree trunk. Tamotsu stood up, an alarmed look covering his face. A woman stumbled through the forest. She leaned against a tree, panting. "Run... While you still can... Evacuate everyone..." She mumbled in between gasps for air. Tamotsu stared at the ragged woman in shock. The woman fell to her knees, resting her head on a tree root. She closed her eyes.

Boom.

A tree cracked and fell to the ground, landing with a boom. I stood up, still clinging onto the tree. I teleported onto a higher branch and surveyed the area. Several trees crashed onto the ground.

Boom. Boom. Boom.

I immediately reattached myself to the tree, shivering as the ground began to shake. I squinted, trying to spot what was causing all of the mayhem. I sighed and teleported down to the ground next to the woman. I lifted her up off of the ground, barely able to hold her weight.

"S-Sayuri? W-When did you get here?" Tamotsu stuttered. "No time." I said quickly, gasping for air. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I opened my eyes and charged out of the forest.

I glanced behind my back, spotting a nearby tree cracking. My eyes widened as it fell, its shadow casting over my body. I formed a large samurai sword in my hands, using it to block the falling tree. I narrowed my eyes, pushing against the tree to keep it from crushing my trembling body.

"Freeze Shell!" An icy bubble wrapped around my body as a half circle, shielding me from the tree. I quickly leapt out of the way, saving myself just in time. The tree crushed the iron ice, littering the ground with snowflakes. I nodded at Sayuri in thanks. She turned around and ran off out of the forest. As the samurai sword disappeared from my hands, I ran after Sayuri as quickly as I could.

---

"Evacuate the nearby towns! Something dangerous is attacking!" Sayuri yelled as we slammed through the guild doors. "What? What's happening?!" Suzume demanded. "What in all of Fiore is attacking?" Tora yelled. "Why is it attacking?" "What is it doing here?" "Is it another guild?" "Is it a monster?" "Could it be a demon? Or a dragon?" The guild members began to shout.

"Silence!" Master Sting yelled.

Boom.
Boom. Boom.
Boom. Boom. Boom.

The building began to shake.

"Everyone, get out of here, now!" Master Sting ordered. Immediately people started flooding out of the exits. "Sayuri?" I yelled. I spotted Sayuri laying the unconscious woman onto one of the tables. "Sayuri, now is not the time!" I yelled over all of the chaos. Suddenly, Suzume zoomed by and snatched the woman up in her arms. "I've got 'er. You two get on out!" She ordered. Tora appeared from behind Suzume. "Sis, take care of 'em. I'm counting on you." Suzume told her younger sister. Tora rolled her eyes and grabbed my wrist, and then Sayuri's. She ran towards the nearest exit, dragging both of us along with her.

"Wait!! Hana is still back there!!" Sayuri screeched. I looked at the trembling building, the ceiling beginning to crumble. I glanced over at Tora. A small, fluffy pink cat poked out from Tora's jacket. "Aye!" Hana yelled, reassuring us that she was safe. "Thank goodness..." Sayuri muttered.

Boom.
