As soon as I uttered the words to Niall, I realized how true they were. Over the last week, I had fallen for Louis Tomlinson. And the best part was… I didn’t even realize it.

“You do?” he confirmed. I nodded my head, at a loss for words at the moment. “I knew you did. I just wanted to make sure you knew it too,” Niall said, still twirling the ends of my hair.

“How’d you know?” I sniffed, starting to get over my sob attack.

“Just the way you talked about him to Liam. And how you defended yourself. I know you wouldn’t have acted like that if you didn’t like Louis.”

“Do you think Liam would understand? He’s furious at me,” I muttered quietly.

“I told you. He didn’t mean it. He was just being the stereotypical protective older brother. I’m sure Liam will be happy you like Louis instead of some asshole of a guy,” Niall assured, making me chuckle a little.

“Thanks, Ni. And I’m sorry.”

Niall shook his head. “Don’t be sorry. I’m proud of you for going those few days without doing anything. It’s actually quite an improvement. I want you to get better, Cam,” Niall muttered.

Yeah, well, cutting isn’t the only problem with me, I thought. I sighed, and gave Niall a side hug. “I’m gonna go to bed, Niall. A lot’s happened today,” I said. Niall nodded.

“Same. I’m just gonna shower. Do you want me to let the girls know?”

“Yeah. Tell Danielle she can stay with Liam if she wants. Perrie can stay with Zayn. Tell Charlene she can stay with me if she wants,” I yawned.

“You don’t want time alone?”

“No. She’ll suspect something,” I said. I didn’t want Charlene to know I cut again after I told her I would stop. It was bad enough Niall knew.

“Does she, er, know?” Niall asked awkwardly. I nodded.

“Yeah. She found out at the restaurant a few days ago. And one more thing, Ni?” I asked as Niall stood and headed to the door.

“Yeah?”

“Can you only tell Harry about this? I don’t want too many people knowing I broke my promise?” I said with puppy dog eyes.  Niall nodded immediately.

“Yeah. I’ll get Harry alone and tell him. It’s no problem, Cam,” Niall agreed. He placed his hand on the knob, but turned at the last minute. “Oh! Just to let you know, Louis really seemed to enjoy that kiss,” Niall winked, making me blush and roll my eyes. The blonde left the room, shutting the door quietly behind him.

I shakily stood and changed into sweats and a t-shirt. I tied my hair in a messy bun and went to wash my face, trying to erase the tear stains from my cheeks. I spotted my scrapbook on the window seat, and I gently picked it up, turning it to the page of my first performance. I eyed my smile, so happy and full of pride. Why can’t my life be as happy as it was back then?

My eyes landed on the papers that the woman at the theater had given me. I grabbed them, raking my eyes over the names of the plays. Sleeping Beauty caught my eye. I tilted my head, looking at the description and the dates it was to be performed. The paper said that Sleeping Beauty was to be performed in four months. Auditions began in three weeks. For my audition, according to the paper, I had to learn one of the acts from the play. The act had to have a rather big part for the character you were auditioning for. It was pretty self-explanatory. It also said I had to perform a ballet since the play was mostly slow songs with coupley dances.
