Once upon a dreadful time, in a land full of riches stands a strong Kingdom called The Tree of Might. This Kingdom was under the control of two very known and important royals. The King is one that many feared for he was  very strong and powerful. No one dared defy his word or they would face his wrath.

The Queen, was a young and beautiful woman. She was the daughter of a very small and poor kingdom, but because of her beauty many sought for her and thus, she married the one the captured her heart. The man who was feared among the lands and the ruler of Kingdom, The Tree of Might had gained her affection.

Truth be told, they were happy and soone they were joyous of the pregnancy of perhaps a prince. They sought for help of an oracle and it was told that they were gifted by not one strong child but two. The king was more than pleased but there was a prophesy; one of the two unborn infants was fated to die for only one child was meant to rule. The other child would only bring weakness to the kingdom and if kept, it would bring it down to shreds.

No later after the two future parents were aware of the prophesy, war broke. This time however, it was a war that even the king could not avoid. His power was too great which brought envy and many sought to see him defeated. They joined forces to defeat him but there were others who were loyal to the king and fought at his side.

The king fought among those who remained loyal to him, and soon kept fighting until it was over. Soon it was time for the unborn children to meet the world; unfortunately they were surrounded by death and despair.

The queen lay on her bed in her chambers. She was dressed in a white gown with her legs spread. Two young maidens stood at her side holding both of her hands. An old midwife crouched underneath her legs, which she held.

The queen was drenched in sweat and she pushed but it was too painful. The midwife urged her to keep pushing until she could see the top of the head of the first baby. The queen pushed and pushed until the first child was pushed outside of the queen's womb. The midwife grabbed the baby and when someone handed her a knife, she cut the umbilical cord while the baby cried. The child was then placed in a blanket and was handed to another woman.

As the queen kept pushing and pushing, she was starting to lose all her strength. It shouldn't be that hard, the midwife commented and after more minutes of more pushing the second baby was born. This baby however, was thinner and did not cry so the midwife had to spank the small bundle. The baby did not cry but opened her eyes staring at the woman who had a hold of her. Said woman did the same and cut the umbilical cord and then handed the child to another woman.

Both of the babies were taken care of, they were cleaned and as soon as that was done the midwife exited the chamber. The king paced back and forth and it was quite clear that he was worried.

After the king noticed the old woman he stopped pacing and he did not had to ask the woman how his wife and children were doing. The woman nodded without smiling." My king, they are alright. Follow me." She stepped in the chamber.

The queen laid on the bed and the other women were taking care of her. She approached those who held the babies and only one of them was crying." You, my king are a father of a very healthy and strong boy, the other however is a female..." she paused when she noticed that the king had approached the babies and had taken the male-she presumed- in his arms." I am afraid she won't make it, she is too weak compared to the boy." She shook her head." Is there anything else that you need my assistance with?" She asked ready to leave.

The king shook his head while staring at the little boy while the small girl was forgotten. As the old woman exited another entered, this one being the one who told the king about the prophesy. She raised an eyebrow."It seems you've made a choice my king?" she asked aware of what was about to happen.

The king glanced at the baby girl and he too noticed how weak and fragile she looked."Yes, take her and you know what you must do with her."

The woman hesitated once she grabbed the small bundle in her hands. She was aware of the future but as she glanced at the small figure, she could only stare at the eyes of the small young child. It seemed as she knew what her destiny was and it was something that the old woman wasn't unable to see, the children's future. Yes, there were things that she could see but even so, at this very moment she saw nothing so she assumed the king was correct; if she could see no future than she must die." Are you sure my king?" she asked before she turned around. If she could see the future, she came to the realization that perhaps it was meant for this child to not exist. Upon heading to the exit, the queen regained some strength and she saw that only that one of her children was in her king's arms.

"Where are you taking her?" she asked making an effort of standing up. By now her eyes were filled with tears."W-what are you going to do with her?" again she asked and she started to sob.

The king said nothing but stared at the now closing door."She's dead, she was meant to be."

At this the queen struggled against those who tried to keep her from getting off of the bed. She cried and cried knowing that she was not going to see her girl's face, she did not even get a chance to see her face when she was born.
