Perhaps you are acting like a child by ignoring Reno, Balthier and Gippal. Yes, they had told you how they felt about you but it’s a bit harsh of you to ignore them but as much as you tried to talk to them, or the like, you could simply not. A new day has started and yet you left the castle as soon as possible to see a person that it has been a while since you last saw her; Reno’s mother.
She’s a very kind woman and has treated you with respect it only seems fair that you at least give her a visit. The small house came to view and a smile makes its way to your face. No matter how small that house is, it just brings good memories. Soon you find yourself standing in-front of the door so you knock.
A short pause follows but the the door is being opened. The woman stands there with her mouth open not quite sure what to do. She seems like she is about to bow in respect, but you you grasp her in a tight hug. “Long time no see.”
The woman laughs and returns the action. “Indeed it has. Come on in.”As you pull away, you nod quite happy. “How have thing been for you darling?” There is concern dripping from her words.
You laugh not wanting to worry her. “Just the normal stuff.”
After both of you take a seat, she shakes her head. “There are rumors and from what has happened, I assume they are correct. So, how are you holding up?” She takes your hand in hers and smiles warmly at you waiting for an answer.
A sigh comes out of your mouth and for a moment you just remain silent. “Honestly, a bit chaotic but I’m sure that things will come to normal soon.” The war crossed your mind making you furrow your eyebrows. “Though, you probably already know but there is a war coming its way here. Some Kingdoms had been invaded.”
The woman frowns. “Why aren’t you providing with help?”
“I offered them my support and help but they refused to get involved with this Kingdom or to be precisely, me.” That information only makes her frown deeper. “Though, we had the strongest Kingdoms on our side so if it comes to war, we can rely on them.”
That didn’t help much either. “What about Reno and the other two?”
So that is what is making her worry. “You and I both know what is going to happen. Even if I warn them not to get involved, they will do it anyways.”
That makes her laugh. “Right, that is correct. They can be so stubborn.” She waves her hand in dismissal. “Now changing the subject, what is wrong? The moment I mentioned their names your expression changed.”
You bit your bottom lip pondering on either telling her or not but the encouraging nod only makes you spill the beans. “It’s just that....I talked with them last night. I heard their conversation, though it was far from being one since they were all pissed...So...To make it short, they told me they loved me and I don’t know how act around them.”
She laughs. “Darling, you shouldn't feel upset, though I am surprise that they actually had to tell you about their true feelings. For being a smart woman, you can be a bit ....Naive sometimes.”
