Growls, glares and hissing were only a few of the responses that you got when Axel and you entered the dining room. They were all there and upon noticing that the doors had been opened, their eyes snapped at that direction only to narrow their eyes and glare at the red headed, who walked at your side. Sighing, you decided for once to sit on the table that was designated for royalty and motioned for Axel to sit there with you. Once you were both sitting there, a servant began to fill your plates with food.
For a moment, you noticed a few hurt glances that were sent your way but there were others who glared at the red headed male. “Hey, stay here while I explain the situation to them.” With that, you left the male eating on his way.
As you approached the tables full of people, some just waited for you while others just looked away. Roxas being in the group simply watched the red headed male and you were not sure what his thoughts were. “Now what?” Balthier asked rather annoyed.
Sighing you took a seat and glanced at Axel by turning a bit to the side which made the bruce on your neck be more visible. Upon seeing this, Zack got to his feet and pointed at said bruises. “What happened to your neck, did he do this?” And the glare that he sent to Axel was very manacing.
When Zack mentioned this, the rest glanced at your neck and growled. “No, no! It wasn’t him. It was Saix who did this to me. I was taken away and…he just wanted to know about his nobody.” Shaking your head you continued. “That doesn’t matter. What matters is that Axel will be on our side from now on. I know it won't be easy, but please I am asking you to treat him...like he is one of us.” Upon hearing this, a few stood up protesting. “Hey, hey! I made that decision already, he joined us and that's it.”Standing up you didn’t even bother to spare them another glance and headed back to where Axel was.
Axel stopped eating and did not leave his sight from you. “I got you in trouble, didn’t I?” With a sigh, he commented. “If it will bring you trouble, I can just leave. Got it memorized?” With a tap on his temple, he stood up.
You shook your head and grasped his wrist. “No, it won’t make any difference anyway. By now they know that you joined us and you will probably get killed, so stay.” Cursing you took a bite from your food. “Why do they have to be so dramatic? I mean, when Roxas joined us they were skeptical and look at him now! He has been a huge help!” Taking a deep breath you glanced at the others and shook your head. “Just ignore them for now and eat.” With that, you continued to eat your meal, Axel doing the same.
As everyone was done with their meal, each of them left but Roxas who had just stood there. From his glances it was clear that he wanted to talk to Axel so you just left them to discuss what needed to be cleared.
On your way out, you were greeted with Cid, Kain, Warrior of Light and Firion, who seemed to be waiting for you. Warrior of Light smiled yet there seemed something wrong with him, it was as if he was a bit...worried.
“Something the matter?” Finally you asked eying the four males.
Kane nodded. “Yes...It is about that male, the one you brought.”
Again, you sighed and you ran your fingers through your hair. “Look, you all seem skeptic about his presence but..Look, the same thing happened with Roxas and look at him, he’s been aiding us without even wanting anything in return."
