Rufus could not comprehend the meaning of your visit, it was quite clear that you did not want to have any relationship with them. Why were you standing in front of him with that smile, that kind of smile that belonged to a flirtatious woman?
The male had been on his office taking care of some businesses when you arrived. For a moment he rose to his feet but your lack of action brought some a hesitation from his part. At the end, he signed and decided to listen to what you had to say.
"You know why I am here, don’t you?" You asked smiling as you made your way to take a seat across from him. Once there, you intertwined your fingers and leaned forward placing them under your chin.
He could only raise an eyebrow. "Please do explain the reason of your sudden visit."
You laughed. "It is something of interest to you. As you know, my power as a Queen has changed and...." Just to make him more interested, you trailed off.
"Of course I know, there has been word that you are using dark power, especially one that belongs to Xemnas." The accusation of Rufus brought a frown upon your lips but your quick thinking made it dissappear after a few seconds.
"Ah, those news." As you stood up, you walked around with a grin on your face. " True, I decided to use...other sources but for a good reason. I got word that despite my efforts of obtaining the support of other villages, Xemnas' power has increased. This is the reason why I felt obliged to take other actions." Taking a deep breath, you stood in front of him and placed the palm of your hand on the desk and leaned forward. " It isn't pleasant to be using dark magic but I have no other choice. Now placing me in the same place as Xemnas is far, I have no reason to join him whatsoever. After all he has done to me. He is the main reason as to why I no longer have my family, he is the main source of my pain."
The male leaned back and watched you with those calculating eyes. " And?"
With a defeated breath, you shook your head. " It's...ridiculous to be saying this but....If we both work together then maybe in the future...Perhaps we could join..." You attempted saying in a strained voice. " I’ve talked to the others but they aren’t happy with my use of dark magic, Caius has accepted my request." After hearing that name, he narrowed his eyes. This made you grin internally. " So?"
"Yes, you're correct but if I do join you ...The risk is great." He then narrowed his eyes and abruptly stood up. "In the current situation that we are in, it would be outrageous to put the rest of the Kingoms against mine, that is simply suicide.”
Despite the menacing look, you laughed. " Oh come on, I would never do that!"
The male believed nothing. " Just leave." With that you had no other choice but to comply.
Before leaving, you turned around. " I just wanted to let you know. I assumed things were bound to happen, so I am just making sure that you guys know what is happening." Now that, that was cleared you left.
It was then a few days later that Leon and his friends showed up. Rufus notices that one was missing, Hope."What do I owe the splendid visit?"
At this the group growled. " We come because of something.....that needs a lot of attention." Snow answered seeing that Leon nor the other individuals were about to answer.
At this Rufus raised an eyebrow quite surprised. " Then I am all ears. To have you all standing in front of me, it is such an honor." But the sarcasm in his words did not go unnoticed.
Paine growled this time. " It is not the time to play around, specially when there is another [Name] walking around."
Oh, that really brought Rufus to his feet in an instant. " Excuse me?"
