Holden's Point of View
"And now please welcome to the stage Liv Rooney singing a cover of Hello by Adele. Let's give her a hand folks!" Joey announced.
"Hey Ridgewood are we having a good time?" Liv smiled trying to wake up the crowd. Everyone cheered, I just stood at the back of the gym. "Awesome, I hope you enjoy my cover of Hello."
The music began as Liv walked backstage and came back with a stool to sit by the microphone with.
Liv looks beautiful, she's wearing a sky blue dress with a silver sparkle covered top. She looked absolutely radiant.
She then started to sing;
"Hello it's me. I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet?
To go over everything. They say that time's supposed to heal ya. But I ain't done much healing."
Liv made eye contact with me and she started to get a bit emotional. If only she knew that there's nothing I can do.
"I'm in California dreaming about who we used to be. When we were younger and free. I've forgotten how it felt before the world feel at our feet."
Well at least I know she's singing about me and not some rather dude... Everyone in the gymnasium is staring at me. This is sufficiently awkward. She's staring directly at me.
Liv's Point of View
I feel bad for centring Holden out but he deserves to know how I feel.
Before I went to go sing the next line Holden left the gym.
"There's such a difference between us, and a million miles."
"Holden." I whispered to myself.
I can't stop what I love to do because he left the room. I feel impowered to sing louder and stand my ground. I stood up from the stool and pulled the microphone of the stand.
"Hello from the other side. I must have called a thousand times, to tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done. But when I call you never seem to be home."
I started to march around the stage and belted out
"At least I can say that I've tried. But it don't matter. It clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore!"
I sang loud enough for him to hear me wherever he was.
I carried on with the song loud enough for him to hear me, I sang threw the tears rolling down my face. I confidence was pouring out of my mouth and into everyone's ears.
Once I hit the chorus for the second time, I noticed another voice singing alone with me.
"So hello from the other side."
Then that voice sang the echo "other side."
"I must have called a thousand times."
The voice echoed me again. "Thousand times."
That isn't any voice, that's Holden's voice.
He joined in with me for the next line "To tell you." People made an eill threw the middle of the gym leading to the stage. Holden walked threw it towards me.
"I'm sorry for everything that I've done." He joined me on stage and finished the sing with me.
The curtains closed and he said "I'm sorry."
"I forgive you." I hugged him and started to cry tears of joy on his shoulder. "I don't care what we are at this point. I just don't want you to leave me ever again."
"Trust me." He combed his fingers threw my hair. "I won't."
