Maddie's Point of View
Liv has been crying all weekend all night long and I don't think I can handle another night of it.

The difference between her and Holden and Diggie and I, is that my relationship with Diggie was a mutual breakup over distance, I still miss him but it had to be done. Liv's relationship couldn't happen because she is selfless and didn't want to hurt her friends feelings.

Holden loves Liv and she feels the same way. It's not fair to Liv that she is being a good person but doesn't get any good karma in return.

"Hey Liv. How are you doing?" I said walking over to Liv's bed.

She lifted the blankets off from her head to reveal all her eye makeup running down her face. "Not good. Can you go buy me some chocolate?"

"Sure thing Liv." I smiled.

Once I arrived at the connivence store, I ran in and grabbed a M&M chocolate bar for Liv and some Sour Patch Kids for myself. I went up to the cash, low and behold Diggie was in line. "Hey Diggie."

"Oh hey Rooney!" He smiled and turn around to face me. My heart is melting, he hasn't called me Rooney for 5 months.

"How are you?" I said awkwardly tucking a small strand of hair behind my ear.

"I'm good."

"That's good..." I replied. Yah there was quite a bit of awkward silence filling the air.

"Listen," He put his hand on my shoulder. "I miss you, a lot."

"I miss you too. But we know this can't happen."

"I want to date you. I've been lonely in Austrailia. I'm staying in Stevens Point." He combed his hair back with his fingers.

"You are." I exclaimed.

He pulled me in for a hug. "I can't be without you. I love you too much."

I teared up a little and kissed him on the cheek. "I missed you too."

He handed me his letterman jacket. "So are we boyfriend and girlfriend again?"

I put his jacket on and smiled at him. "Yes!"

He kissed the top of my head.

"Next!" The cashier at the till yelled.

"Oh sorry." Diggie put a 2 litre bottle of pop and a bag of dill pickle chips on the counter. He then grabbed the Sour Patch Kids and the chocolate bar from my hands. "I'll get it."

"No Diggie it's okay I can pay for it."

"It's the least I can do for my girlfriend." He smiled at me and pulled out fifteen dollars. I giggled and snorted like a pig. "I love your laugh so much."

"I'd love to stay and chat, but I have to go see Liv. She's going through a bad breakup... I guess you could say."

"Oh... In about an hour or so would you like to join me for a movie?" He raised and eyebrow.

"I'd love too." I beamed.

"Here you go Liv."

"Thank you, Maddie." Liv faked a smile.

I went on my phone to notice 3 text notifications from Diggie, I smiled from ear to ear.

"You seem oddly happy."

"Huh? What no." I clicked the power off button on my phone.

"Okay...."
