Chapter XII "Chilling Shivers"

Phillipe turned around and walked up to me, still in his wolf form. He looked at me and I patted him and drew my fingers through his fur. Feeling the warmth that came from him.

"Don't run like that again, ever"

"I promise. So why did that guy Ethan do as you said?"

Chapter 11 "Chilling Shivers"

When Phil had made sure that I was okay he turn away from me and walked towardes the house. Leaving me behind.

"Go after him"

"Stop talking in my head"

"OK when you start acting like a real werewolf"

"Well I am a dhampir not a werewolf"

"You know what I mean"

"Do I?"

"You're impossible" she said with a loud sigh.

"Oh well" I thought not really caring what she wanted. After our inside-crazy-mind-arguing I walked towards the house but when I reached the doorstep something tugged at my shirt. I quickly turned around and screamed right into the person's face "WHAT?"

"Hey cool it off girl" Jack said and put both hands up telling me he was giving up. "You know Vick you have real moodswings sometimes" he chuckled

"Hmph"

"Well, what I really wanted to talk to you about was if you had decided what to do about 'the-mate-thing', I mean honestly you are driving our all mighty Alpha insane. You're even better than Tyler and I, combined! Besides I bet your wolf mind is getting on your bad side, am I right? So I was..." He was talking to fast. I cut him off.

"Get to the point Jack I know that it wasn't for a chitchat you came and found me. Besides you would never drag up 'the-mate-thing' around me if you could help it. Did he set you up?"

"No no of course not"

"Then what?"

"Em, you see... everyone is going to the movie theater to watch 'Destruction' and they are forcing me to babysit the cubs do you em... think you.... could do it... instead I mean only if you whan't to. Plus Phillipe will be coming with us so you're of the hook." he said at the same time as he looked down at his hands, wile putting two fingers together nervously. Waiting for me answer.

"Sure" I said, and he looked up at me confused.

"What?"

"You really didn't think it would be that easy? Honestly you only had to ask. A evening without him is more than enough for me to watch them for a week."

"You're the best!" he screamed right into my ear which made me hit him on the head several times saying 'Idiot' more than once.

We were sitting down by the table, eating. Lily had really over done it this time, and tonight I suspected that she had a partner in crime. I just didn't know who. Maybe Phillipe or Tyler. Jack wouldn't he was to scared that I would leave him with the kids.

I still hadn't told Phillipe about my plans for tonight. I didn't want him to change his mind and stay here with me. It would totally ruin my evening, and everybody else's.

"So Boss have Vick told you about her plans for tonight?" Jack said, but soon he regretted that he opened his mouth when I glared at him.

"Victoria?" he said questioningly raising an eyebrow. "You didn't tell me you made plans for tonight." The last wasn't a question it were a statement.
