A/N: YEESS! Finally I updated on the day that I was supposed to! Go me :3 Anyways I hope you enjoy the chapter! Vote and Comment to let me know what you think! It would mean a lot :)
Walking through the familiar thick, lush green forest brings back so many fond memories. Before my mother, or I guess it was my aunt, died we would vacation here every summer. My uncle would help me catch butterflies during the day and at night the three of us would sit by a campfire, telling ghost stories while toasting marshmallows on sticks over our mediocre fire.
I smile softly as the family log cabin comes into view. It's not fancy or luxurious by any means but it has character. Faded wooden steps lead up to a decent sized porch with a simple rocking chair next to a small side table. The cabin itself is fairly basic with two stories; on the main floor you can find an average size kitchen, living room and bathroom while the second story has two large bedrooms with a small bathroom separating the two rooms.
Standing at the foot of the stairs, I gaze up at the cabin with fondness.
"Hello, are we even going to discuss what she just said?" Freya interrupts, staring at me incredulously.
I tear my eyes away from the house momentarily to glance in Freya's direction, laughing slightly. "Let's go inside and I'll answer whatever questions you have."
I walk up the creaky stairs, smiling as I reach the door. So many good memories... I hold open the door, waiting until Demeter and Freya walk inside the cabin.
"Where can we sit down and talk about all this?" Demeter inquires as I close the door firmly behind me.
"Follow me." I saunter over to the living room with both of them trailing after me.
The living room was basic in which it had a simple design. Two black leather recliners and a loveseat both are facing a rundown television. The walls are decorated with artistic pictures, both real and abstract. A book case full of different types of genres of books ranging from fantasy to magical to romance and so on rests casually against the wall opposite of the TV.
"Have a seat." I gesture vaguely to the living room before heading into the kitchen, grabbing three glasses of water each with lemon wedges before returning to Demeter and Freya.
I laugh as soon as I see Freya sprawled out on the loveseat with her feet resting on the arm. I hand them their glasses, smiling when they nod to me in thanks before sitting down in an empty recliner beside Demeter.
"So would you care to explain how this is the Earth? I thought you blew it up?" Freya questions before she takes a sip of her water.
"I did... in a sense." I exhale a huge breath of air. "It's a little complicated to explain but essentially this is what happened. I did destroy the Earth in the sense that I caused the old Earth full of corruption and humans to become extinct. Basically I gave the Earth the chance to have a do over."
"Okay..." Freya trails off confused. "But that doesn't explain why Demeter and I can't feel anyone's presence when you obviously can."
I laugh softly, "Oh that. Well, when I rebuilt parts of the Earth my magic become infused with the planet itself. This affected the plants, the animals, basically everything, therefore making me able to sense when they're near."
"When you say they," Demeter starts gazing at me curiously as she gets more comfortable in the recliner. "Who are you referring to?"
I clear my throat. "Well I'll tell you right now that there are no humans or human-like creatures on this planet. They were exterminated. So what you were feeling was all of the animals in the forest. To be more specific we were actually in a wolf domain, which is why we needed to leave there right away since they can get territorial about who is allowed in their den."
