25. Show and Tell

A/N: New Chapter.... Yay :) hope you enjoy it :)

I collapse back onto the throne once everyone but Freya, Demeter, Jacques, Abraxas, General O'Malley and I remain in the throne room.

"My first day in the Underworld and this is what happens." I wearily rest my hand on my palm as I sigh tiredly.

Feeling a hand gently placed on my head I glance up to see Demeter peering down at me worriedly. "How are you holding up Keeisa?"

"Honestly? I'm physically and mentally exhausted Demeter."

"Hold still, I'll give you a small boost." Placing her hands on my head, I instantly begin to feel my energy restoring.

A few minutes pass until I feel almost as good as new. "Thank you Demeter."

She simply smiles before Freya cuts in, "I'm here too you know..."

"Awe is poor Freya tired?" I ask in a baby voice.

Demeter smirks while Freya glares, "Don't make me come over there Blackwood."

"Whatever you say, cranky..."

Before she can retaliate General O'Malley's voice cuts in. "Alright Princesses, that's enough for now. Would you three like me to take you to your wing?" Seeing my puzzled expression he continues, "When you three disappeared on your 'vacation' your father had a wing of the castle set up for you and your friends."

Still unable to process I voice my confusion, "But how would he know about my condition?"

"He saw how close you three had become and he decided that he would prepare two extra bed chambers in case your friends decided to come and stay here with you."

"What does it matter Keeisa," Freya questions nonchalantly. "We're all here, we're all staying here and that's all we need to know for now."

"Speaking of... how did you manage to get your parents to let you stay here?"

"I simply asked my parents if I could go to school in another kingdom." Demeter shrugs as if it's no big deal.

I send her a mischievous smile, "Let me guess... You left out the fact that the kingdom was in another dimension and that the kingdom is the Underworld, correct?"

She laughs, "I'm afraid I can't confirm nor deny that."

Freya and I share a look, that's definitely what happened.

"As for me, I got my brother's permission." Freya comments casually. "They asked my parents and a few seconds later I was on my way here. Now that we've got that out of the way, let's go have a tour of this huge castle!"

I laugh softly. Her enthusiasm is infections; I'm kind of looking forward to this tour. With everything going on a distraction is exactly what I need. I stand up glancing to my left to see Jacques off in a day dream.

"Jacques..." I call out, smiling when his head snaps to mine instantly. "Would you like to join us on our tour?"

He mulls it over before letting out a large yawn. "I'm sleepy..."

I reach out, ruffling his hair gently. "Go to bed Jacques, you can show me all the best places to go in the castle when you wake up, alright?"

Jacques eagerly nods, hopping out of the throne then running over to me, wrapping his arms around my legs giving me a loving hug before leaving the room.

"He's absolutely adorable." Demeter comments while watching the whole exchange with a small smile.

"He is certainly an affectionate young man, that's for sure." General O'Malley saunters over to the door, holding it open. "Shall we go Princesses?"
