Hearing my voice Abraxas lifts his head gazing at me through sleepy eyes. He yawns loudly as he stands up stretching his body like a cat before walking over to me, butting his head against my stomach lovingly before nuzzling it, nearly knocking me over in the process.

"I missed you too" I coo adoringly running my hand over his head softly. Demeter clears her throat snapping me back to reality. I focus on Abraxas, "What are you doing here? How did you even get here?"

He looks at me slightly insulted. "You left dimensions without even telling me Keeisa. So tell me, why do you think I'm here?"

My eyes soften, "I'm sorry Abraxas, you're right but had I known that I was going to then I would have mentioned it to you." I pause kissing the top of his soft scaly head before continuing. "Now can you please tell me how you came here?"

"I'm your Familiar," He sends me an annoyed glance as he shrinks down to his smaller size. He fly's up to my shoulder where he stretches his body out with his head resting comfortably on my right shoulder while his tail flickers back and forth on the other one. "I can always find you Keeisa. Not to sound cheesy but we're two halves of the same whole. Where you go, I go. I can sense where you are at all times just as you can do with me."

Demeter clears her throat softly instantly capturing my attention. "I'm sorry to interrupt you two but we have a bit of a situation." She nods subtly in Azazel's direction.

"You're right..." I trail off glancing in his direction.

How the heck did I forget, not to mention ignore, the defensive alpha wolf standing less than ten feet away from me? I shake my head exasperated with myself; I really need to start paying more attention because that's just sad...

Azazel stares us down, hackles raised with his back arched, teeth bared as he snarls at us viscously. He takes a threatening step forward, crouching slightly as if prepared to attack.

Instantly I hold out my hands palms facing him while I talk in soothing tones. "Easy Azazel, we're not here to harm you. Just tell us what's wrong."

He stubbornly shakes his head snarling loudly, warning us to stay away. Abraxas growls lowly at Azazel in response.

"Abraxas, stop. That's not helping the situation." I scold softly.

"That pup has no right to be snarling at you over such a trivial thing." Abraxas defends hotly.

I pause for a couple seconds before looking at him incredulously. "Wait, can you talk to him?"

"I may not be from this planet but I'm still technically an animal."

"Demeter I think I might have a way to figure out what's happening." I look in her direction briefly before glancing at Abraxas in the corner of my eye.

She follows my gaze before gasping softly, "Do you think that he would...?"

"Let's find out." I take Abraxas off my shoulders, placing him on the ground softly.

He looks at me grumpily, "I was comfortable laying there you know, how rude."

I roll my eyes at my grouchy Familiar. "The sooner you help me out the sooner you can go back there."
