Kevin's POV

Edd has been gone a week.

I have a list of things needed to be done:
•Find a Job
•Save up to fly to Edd
And some other things in between

I am currently job hunting.
I have found a few places that had a nice environment, but I don't know if it is for me.

I walk up to a small building downtown and open the door. This was the next spot I was supposed to have an interview at.

It was a small cozy cafe. I hadn't actually been in here, but now that I am inside I wonder why I hadn't found it before.

"Hello," a short brunette girl who is probably only a couple years older spoke behind the counter.

"Hey, I was supposed to have an interview for an opening here."

She smiles pushing up her glasses, "Kevin, right?"

I nod, "yeah."

"Nice to meet you! I am Avery."

I smile in reply.

"One second, I will be right back I have to get someone to cover for me while we talk," she says to me and turns and walks to the back. When she returns she has a guy with her, I am assuming he is another employee.

"Okay Kevin, follow me please," Avery says to me smiling.

I nod and follower her in the back of the cafe to an office. "Please sit," she motions to a chair on the other side of her desk, so I do.

"So I have some questions to ask you, I hope you don't mind."

"I don't mind at all," I admit.

"Okay, so first I am going to ask some that are just to warm you up."

I nod, "alright."

"How is your day going?"

I chuckle, "It is going good. Thank you for asking. How is your day going?"

"It's been good," she says smiling at me.

She smiles a lot.

We continue our talk and it honestly is going amazing!
I would love to work here, she seems like a kind boss who cares about her employees.

I consider her my friend already.

"How about school? How did that go for you?"

"Honestly I went to it to do football and to see friends, I tried to learn but I wasn't ever entirely focused on it."

She nods, "I understand that, my younger brother was the same way."

"Okay next question, how do you feel about the LGBT community?"

I clear my throat and sit up more, "Pardon?"

"How do you feel about LGBT?" She repeats.

I nod biting my lip, I haven't actually had to tell anyone I was gay before- I mean Edd and I had just went to school together and did couple things and people found out.

"I am actually a part of it," I stutter out.

"Really?"

I nod, "yeah."

"That's great! I am so glad to have another person around here that is apart of the LGBTQ+ community," she admits.

"You are?"

She giggles.

"Yeah, I am Bisexual. I like to get people of the LGBTQ+ community around here, because sometimes you can feel around- but here- you could just have many people who support you," she explains.

I sigh, I am so relieved.

"Kevin, honestly, I would love you to work here so I will make you a deal. If you go to our training tonight and on until two weeks from now, you will be 100% qualified for this job- all expense payed."

I smile, today has been amazing.
Yes, Edd isn't here right now and I miss him right now, but I am slowly building a steady foundation for our relationship.

"Of course, I would love to."

"Great! See you at 6 PM!" She says smiling.

I smile getting up and shaking her hand.

"It was great meeting you," I say a genuine smile on my face.

"You as well," Avery replies smiling.
