Kevin's POV

"I know," Nat says. "But it's still weird.."

I chuckle, "Why?"

"You always called it your baby and now you got rid of it!"

I scratch the back of my head and chuckle, "Well Nat, I had to since I'm a dad now."

He groans, "You used to be fun."

His mood only makes entertained more, "yeah maybe, but the same happened to you."

"Touchè, douche," he replies flipping me off.

I roll my eyes, I'm thankful both of our husbands and kids aren't in the garage.

"How can you act so childish still?"

"How can you not? I mean we are around children all day, you have to adapt."

"But you never changed," I retort.

He dramatically grabs his heart, "That- that hurt me, Kev."

I roll my eyes, "You will be fine."

He sighs and gives up on trying to be fun, "Are you nervous?"

"Yeah, Jim is so excited to go into kindergarten though, so at the same time I'm excited."

"Same deal with Kimberly," he replies sipping on his beer.

I nod and take a drink of my water, I didn't touch alcohol- I didn't want to be like my da- like him...

Before Jim was born, I would wake up from night terrors screaming and crying.
In the dream I would be back in my old house, he would be there and he would beat me like old times... Then I would end up like him as an adult, an alcoholic that was dumped by my significant other, and took it out on my child... It was horrifying, I didn't want to be like him!

I was ripped out of my thought when the garage door opened and Edd, Jim, Rave, and Kimmy walked in.

Jim ran up to me, "Dad!"

I picked him up and he wrapped his arms around me tightly.

"Dad, DD took me to see a movie and then we drove past my new school!!!"

I smiled, "Oh really?! What was it like?!"

His smile grew and he explained to me what the movie was about and how big the school was.

I nodded not missing one single word he said, "oh my gosh! That sounds like so much fun!"

"Yeah!!!"

When I put Jim down again him and Kim took off inside the house to go play.

"So why does he call Edd DD again?" Nat asked.

I smile and Edd blushed.

"It stands for Double Dad, I thought of it when we were coming up for names he could call us when he was able to talk... Since I already called him Double D- he thought it would work."

Nat smiled, "So cute."

Rave nodded as he leaned up against Nat.

"I thought so too," I said smiling.

Edd blushed and whined, "you guys are making me turn red!"

"Sorry, hot stuff," I replied with a wink making my husband of seven years turn even more red.

Edd's POV

We had a week until Jim would be starting school.
My anxiety was out of the roof for little Jim. I wanted everything to go perfect for my little boy. He deserved it.
He is such a sweet child, everyone will love him but I can't help but worry.
