Chapter 1- Graduation pt. 2

Edd's POV

"Will you marry me?"

"Yes of course, Edd."

The crowd cheers.

"Edd?" I hear someone off in the distance say.

I blink, everyone is looking at me.

That is when I realized that I had drifted off and Rave was standing next to me.

"It is your turn to speak," he says giving me a sympathetic smile.

I walk up to the podium. I am sure I look like a mess, I take a deep breathe.

"Hi," I say testing my speaking voice into the microphone.

"For the people who say high school is the best years of your life, I would like to say my opinion on that.. and to be honest high school is only a little pebble in the riverbed of life. Sure it was four years of all of our lives, sure we spent hours studying preparing for our tests, and yes it might have been the years we started to understand ourselves.. I say to hell with high school, lets bring the next chapter of our lives to life!"

The crowd cheers.

After listening to the principal say his goodbyes to all of us, our class starts to exit the room. Rave and I stand from our seats on stage.

Rave turns to me smiling, "Your speech was so much better than mine."

"Thank-," I was about to thank Rave and tell him my opinion on his speech but..

"CUPCAKEEEE!" Nat yells as he runs around the stage and tackles Rave into a big hug. The couple fall back on to the ground and Nat smoothers Rave with kisses.

They are such a cute couple, gosh! I hope they stay together. I try to imagine what their kids would look like, loud and crazy like Nat or quiet and smart like Rave, perhaps both? I can't help but to smile.

"Hey Baby," Kevin says wrapping his arms around me from behind and rest his head on my shoulder.

"Hi Pumpkin," I smile turning my head to meet those beautiful eyes.

He kisses my nose.

Strike me down with a lightening bolt! I wish this feeling could last forever! I am so desperately in love with Kevin, I really wish my daydream had been reality earlier, but I just couldn't get the words to come out of my mouth. Would Kevin even want to get married yet? Would Kevin even want to marry me? I try to push these thoughts aside.

"Baby," Kevin says getting my attention.

"Hmm?"

"We are still going out tonight right?"

I smile, "Of course!"

"KEVINNNNN!" Nat yells.

"What you big drama queen?" Kevin says trying to act like he isn't entertained by Nat, but he is smiling.

"THIS IS OUR LAST DAY IN THIS SCHOOL."

"Mhm," Kevin says and nods.

"FUCKING HALLELUJAH!"

We all laugh.

"So you guys want to go grab some pizza from down the street?" Rave asks us.

"Thanks for the invite, but I promised this cutie that I would take him out tonight," Kevin said smiling at me.

I feel the heat rise in my cheeks.

"Oh okay," Rave says smiling. "Well have fun you two," Rave says smiling as him and Nat start walking off stage.

"We will!" I shout as the door closes behind them.

"Shall we go, Double D?" Kevin asks.

"Yeah, but lets make one stop before we leave," I say smiling up at him.

"Okay," he says smiling back, I grab his hand and guide him to where I was wanting to visit before we leave, and push the door open.
