The next morning the boys finally had time to go to the store to buy new furniture for their apartment.
"How did you sleep?" Kevin asks the small boy.
Edd shrugs, "It was alright. It's weird sleeping so close to the floor."
Kevin nods.
"How did you sleep?" Edd asks.
"Well I woke up this morning on the hardwood floor because I rolled out of my sleeping bag last night."
Edd's face changes to worry, "Oh I'm sorry, Pumpkin. You could've sleep with me. I didn't know."
Kevin rests a hand on Double D's shoulder, "It's alright, Darling. Don't worry about it, okay?"
Edd nods, "but I still feel bad."
"Well don't, okay? Today we are going to go buy furniture," Kevin says while smiling at Double D.
It had been all day and the boys were still out looking for furniture to match their qualifications and budget.
Kevin walks up to another couch and points to it "What do you think of this one?"
"If it is hot then we will stick to it," Double D replies.
Kevin laughs, "Yeah, but why would it be that hot in our apartment?"
Edd shrugs with a smile, "I'm not sure, but I just hate that feeling."
Kevin chukles, "but one day if we get a pet such as a puppy and we have this couch it'd be easier to clean their fur than any other material."
Edd nods thinking about it, "Yeah same would go for kids."
Kevin's eyes widen with the sudden realization that one day, maybe, Edd and him would have a children.
"Having kids with Double D would be so cute. They'd be smart, caring, and maybe athletic like me," Kevin thinks to himself blushing.
Kevin imagined what they'd look like, "Tall? Glasses? Freckles? Red hair? Black hair?" The list could go on and on.
"You okay, Pumpkin?" Edd asks worried grabbing onto Kevin's arm looking up at him.
Kevin drifts back to reality and smiles back at his boyfriend, "Yeah, I'm great Babe."
"You sure-?"
Before Edd could finish that question Kevin interrupts him, embarrassed to be thinking about that far in advance to where their relationship could go one day.."So what do you think about the couch?"
"Oh that's what I was saying- Um- I really like it now that you pointed those things out to me. I think it'd be great."
Kevin smirks, "This way I could get the matching recliner for me."
Edd rolls his eyes and replies with the queen's sass, "Sure. Keep dreaming, big boy. It'll be my chair."
"Oh really?" Kevin asks with the same amount of sass in his voice.
"Yeah, queen has to have a good throne for her booty," Edd says with an attempted hair flip.
Kevin couldn't help but laugh at his boyfriends comment, it was just so sassy and cute.
