Chapter 5- Hide n' Seek

Kevin felt giddy from the kiss earlier, even though it had been four hours ago.
They currently sat in Kevin's living room watching Netflix.

"Wanna do something?" Edd asked.
He loved spending time just smiling at Kevin, but he had an idea.

"Like what?"

Edd smiled, "Hide n' seek."

Kevin smiled, "okay."

With that Kevin covered his eyes and began counting.
"1. 2. 3."

Edd got up and ran.

He knew where to hide.

The treehouse.

He quietly went outside and climbed into the tree house.
It was almost the same as he had last seen it, the two toys- the ones Kevin and himself had pretended they were their children when they were younger- still were there.
There was new chairs, one bean bag and the other a dinning chair.
Edd sat on the dinning chair and carefully watched from the window to see if Kevin was coming.

Kevin was still inside.
Edd giggled, he thought that by now Kevin would have figured out Edd had went outside, but apparently not.

So he waited a few minutes until he saw Kevin cross the lawn coming to the tree house.

"Found you!" Kevin said opening the entrance hatch of the treehouse.

Edd smiles, "finally!"

Kevin chuckles climbing in, "I haven't been up here in forever!"

Edd nods, "It is almost the same as when we were kids."

"It is," Kevin says looking around.

"I remember that you really wanted to be the dad," Kevin said recalling the past smiling and sitting on the bean bag.

"Yeah and you wanted to be the dad too," Edd said nodding while shivering

"Come here," Kevin said motioning for Edd to sit next to him on the bean bag.

Edd complied and sat next to his boyfriend and Kevin return wrapped his arms around Edd. Kevin's body warmth was making Edd warm again and with that he could feel the heat rise in his cheeks.

"So earlier I looked up the meaning of je t'aime."

"And?"

"I love you too," Kevin said leaning down and placing a kiss on Edd's forehead. Then Edd's nose and finally Edd's lips.
The kiss was full of love, passion, and how each boy felt for each other- to say the least it got pretty hot in this make out session.

Kevin pulled Edd onto his lap, wrapping his arms around Edd's waist.
Edd wrapped his arms around the back of Kevin's neck.
All the while remaining kissing.
Messy kissing, but they didn't want it any other way right now.

The boys soon started French kissing.
A nickname that isn't as well known for it is- tongue battling.
Which describes the picture more.
They both were fighting for the dominance in the kiss, but after a while Kevin won the dominance in the kiss.

The boys were sweaty when they pulled apart.
Their hair messy, mouths numb, and hearts beating fast.

Kevin smiled up at Edd, who still remained on his lap.

Edd began to cry.

Kevin was so confused.

Had he done something wrong?

Did he hurt Edd?

Did his boyfriend not want to go this fast?

What did he do to screw this up?

How could he fix it and make Edd happy again, like this morning. Relaxed, beautiful, and the Edd he had came to know.

"Edd?" Kevin asked genuinely scared of what Edd will say.

"I am s-sorry," Edd said in sobs.

Kevin pulled Edd into his chest caressing his hair, "shh baby, let it out and when and if you are ready to say anything then we will talk then."

Kevin just held Edd close rubbing his boyfriends hair out of his face gently and lovingly.

After a while Edd had puffy red eyes, cheeks, and a runny nose.

Kevin didn't care though, he wiped his boyfriends nose on his shirt and kissed his temples, "shh baby it's okay."

Edd relaxed hearing this and cuddled into Kevin's chest.

The wind howled quietly in the other wise silent night.

It has began to get cold out.

"I am sorry," The raspy voice from crying said.

Kevin looked at Edd with a small, gentle, smile, "it's alright."

"I messed today up."

"No you didn't," Kevin replied pushing some hair out of Edd's eyes and tucking it behind his ears.

"It was perfect until I cried," Edd replied frowning.

"Crying is a part of being human."

"You aren't human."

Kevin quietly chuckled, "what?"

"You are better than human.
You are a god.
You are the light when I am in the dark.
You are the thing that makes me whole-" Edd was about to continue but Kevin cut him off.

"I am human, babe.
I am no better or worse than any other person.
I have my up days and I also have my down days.
I try to focus on the positives in life, because if I were to dwell in the negatives then I wouldn't have people around me, especially not you."

After saying that Kevin placed a kiss on Edd's head.

Edd tears up, "that makes this all the more harder."

"What?"

"I know summer just began and we just graduated, but.. I am going to college," the whisper was barely audible and he wasn't even looking at Kevin when he said this.

Kevin's jaw dropped.
He knew Edd was smart.
He knew he would easily get into college, but this soon?

"When do you leave?"

Edd looked up, his eyes full of pain, "tomorrow."
