As Courtney's alarm clock buzzed, she woke up and slammed it off. She rose out of her bed, and went to her bathroom doing her morning routine. (Showering, brushing teeth, etc.) Afterwards, she dressed in a minnie mouse crew neck and some cargos. She pulled her hair into a bun and put her ray bands on. She put on hert red, white and black jordans and her diamond studded earrings. She grabbed her backpack and went downstairs.
"Hey sweetie," her mom greeted. She hugged her mom kissing her on the cheek. "Hey ma." she replied. She sat down at the kitchen table. "You gonna eat breakfast?" her mom asked. Courtney nodded, and sat down. "What's for breakfast?" Courtney asked. "The usual," her mother replied. Courtney nodded as her mother handed her her breakfast plate.
"Now before you leave, lemme get this straight to you. Out here on these streets, you be careful. Don't get caught up in these here streets. And don't go up on westside. You here me Courtney?" her mother instructed sternly. Courtney nodded. "I hear you ma," she said. "I'm not playing around with you Courtney Michelle. Be careful," her mother scolded. Courtney nodded. "Well, here goes my plate. I gotta go," Courtney mumbled giving her mother her empty plate. Courtney got up from the table. "Gotta go now. Bye," she pecked her mother's cheek. "Wait, your dad is taking you to school. I almost forgot to tell you," her mother said. She nodded, and waited on the porch.
Fifteen minutes later, her father arrived, and she got in the jeep with him. "Hey daddy," she smiled. "Hey sweetie. What you been up to?" her dad asked cranking up his car. "Oh nothing much." she said. She've never really seen her dad that much, but he's married to another woman and still takes care of her, and her babysister Sabrina. Sabrina is her mother's one year old daughter who has the same father as Courtney. When her parents got a divorce, they would still fool around from time to time, and her mother winded up getting pregnant with Sabrina. Sabrina came way before his new wife, and son.
"How's Shamari?" Courtney asked during the car ride. "She's alright." her father replied. "And Ramari?" Courtney added. Her father chuckled shaking his head. "He's good too," her father replied. "That's nice," Courtney said. Her father pulled up to her school. There were teens, parents, principals, parents, officers everywhere. "Oh my gosh daddy, I didn't even know that we had policemen here! I'm ner-vous," she said. Her father patted her shoulder. "It's fine sweetheart. Just go do your buisness, and that's school. And, trust. You'll make a whole lot of friends. Just go, and don't be nervous. There's nothing to be nervous about," her dad remorsefully said. She nodded with a slight smile. "Okay daddy," she said taking a soothing breath. "And I'll be here to get you after school, okay?" her dad said. She nodded. "Now, go knock em out tiger," her dad joked. She laughed, and pecked her dad's cheek. "Bye daddy," she hopped out of the jeep. He watched her jog into her school. "Man, my babygirl is growing up," he thought to himself as he pulled off.
Courtney went to the cafeteria and immediately seen her bestfriends, Pooh and Alicia. Ahradja is Pooh's real name, but everyone who knows her calls her Pooh because of two things; her middle name Penelope so they get Pooh out of that, and that she look like Winnie the Pooh. Alicia is Courtney's light skinned dominican, caucasian and black mixed friend. She doesn't look dominican at all. She stand five foot three with dark brown hair down to her back. She've dyed her hair with gold highlights though. Alicia also has her womenly figures. A nice shape. Her, Courtney and Pooh honestly have bomb shapes. Their shaped like goddesses. Plenty of peers of theirs envy them because they're what you'd call "baddies".
"Hey y'all!" Courtney chanted smiling. "COURTNEY..!" Alica and Pooh both said in harmony as they hugged her at the same time almost knocking her over. "Oh my. Love y'all too," Courtney laughed. "Sit," Alicia anxiously smiled. The three of them sat at their own private table. "So, what y'all been up to?" Courtney asked. "Nothing just talking about this school year," Pooh replied. "Oh okay," Courtney nodded. Out of the corner of Courtney's eye, she spotted very handsome boy walking in. She shot her head sideways, and seen him. He stood about five foot seven, caramel skin tone, long indian looking hair but in two pigtails with a snapback on, gorgeous eyes, and a swag out of this world. She eyed him up and down and he shot her a few glances. She noticed the look he would give her. He would look at her, and slightly bite down on his lip. She shook her head giggling and turned around.
