Courtney
It's been a week since I found out I'm pregnant. To tell the truth, I know my life is going to change. Just one thing about it though, I don't know who this baby's father is. I was told that I'm four months pregnant, so that would make Rayan the father. All I do is worry, and cry. Why did I have to go through this?
"Courtney, food ready," my mother barged into my room. I sat up, and sighed. "What's the matter sweety?" she sat next to me. "I'm really worried mom," I stressed. She sighed, and rubbed my back. "I know, I know." she said. I sighed, wiping my tears. "No need to cry Courtney, we already know it isn't Meek," my mother said. I sighed. "I guess so mom," I wiped my face, and stood up. I wiped my face with my shirt sleeve. I had on a white long sleeve Hollister shirt with some grey sweats. I ran my fingers through my hair. "I'll go eat now."
It took me no time to retrieve the food my mother prepared for me on the kitchen table. I ate the food, and gulped down the O.J. I rinsed my dishes, and went back to my bedroom. I noticed my phone was lit with notifications. I picked it up, reading the text messages.
"Unknown: I will find u bkitch!"
"Rayan<3: Good morning baby(s), plus our lil one (;"
That unknown number scared the living shit out of me. That same person called me non-stop. I know it's Meek though. I replied;
"To Recipient: leave me the fuck alone you sick bastard!"
From that point, I blocked that number. I sat my phone on the bedside table, and laid on my bed. I laid on my back, and pulled my shirt up. I rubbed my stomach, tracing the black line going down under my belly button. I found it adorable. I reached for my phone and snapped a picture of my stomach. I sent it to Rayan captioned;
"To Rayan: goodmorning to you too daddy <33"
I sat my phone next to me, and smiled. "I can't wait until you get here," I said to my stomach. I turned on my TV, and watched TV until I got a text from Alicia. It read;
"Ally Pooh: hey, I'm coming over in a few. Don't you dare say no :p"
I laughed at the text, and replied a simple "okay". Minutes later, she came into my room. "Hey mommy-to-be!" she exclaimed. I giggled. "Hey god-mama to be," I smirked. "Real funny," she laid next to me. She lifted my shirt. "You're little to be four months," she laughed. "Shut up," I exclaimed. "I'll get there!" I rubbed my stomach.
"So, have you discussed the whole ordeal with Rayan? About the father situ-" I threw my hand up. "He knows." I sternly said. "Oh....my bad," she said, looking away. "It's all good boo," I smiled, smacking her shoulder playfully. She smiled, and cuddled next to me. "I love you bestfriend," she said in my ear. "I love yo butt too bestfriend," I said. "How long you're going to be out of school?" Alicia asked. "For like, five months," I said. "Aw man!" she groaned. "I'm going to be too long without my loves!"
"We love you more Ally," I said. She chuckled. "I know." I sighed. "Oh, and I never got around to saying this, but thank you so much for rescuing me from my worst nightmare," I lowly said. She hugged me closer. "It's all love Court," she said in my ear. I smiled, switching the TV on, watching TV until I fell asleep.
When I woke up, it was seven o'clock and I was alone in my room with a text on my phone. Alicia left a note saying that she left. I got up feeling the world's worst stomach pain. I groaned, clutching my stomach. I rubbed up stomach, until I passed gas. This is gonna be a long journey. I switched my iHome on with iPhone plugged into it. Jhene Aiko blasted throughout my room. I went to my mirror, and traced the bruise on my face. I pulled my hair into a bun, and went to shower. Dressing myself, I observed the bruises on my legs. I couldn't stop the tears from strolling my face, and hitting the floor. Trying forcing emotions back, only forced them out worser with me. I sat on the toilet seat, drowning myself in my tears. I gathered myself, and slid on my sweats. The horrific flashbacks of being trapped in the warehouse kept attacking my mind. I laid on my bed, trying to watch television to sooth my mind.
While on my bed, I received a phone call from no other, but Rayan. I answered the phone. "Hello?" I answered. "What's up mama?" Rayan flirted. Another trenching memory flashed my mind. "Ray, please don't call me that!" I snapped. "What's wrong?" Ray asked. "Nothing." I lied. The truth was, I was being haunted by dreadful memories. "Okay, you want me to come over?" he asked. "No, no I'm okay," I once lied again. "Alright, I wanted to call and check up on you," Ray said. "And I appreciate that baby," I said. "Okay love, I'll call you back later. Love you," he said. "Love you too," I hung up. I sighed, rubbing my stomach.
I laid in my bed watching TV until I fell asleep. The next morning, I got out of my bed and bolted to the bathrooom. I released vomit into the toilet. It felt as if I was throwing my guts up. I flushed the toilet, and brushed my teeth. I eyed myself in the mirror as a trenching flashback struck my mind. I could see myself in the warehouse and Meek striking me across the face. I shook my head, and rubbed cream on my bruises. I changed my clothes into some ripped jeans and a thin grey shirt. I pulled my hair into a bun, and popped my earrings in. I slid in my sandals, sliding my shades on my head, and grabbing my purse as I left my room.
"Hey mom, can I borrow the car?" I barged into her room. "Yeah, yours," she replied. I groaned and grabbed my keys off of her small table. Honestly, I don't really like my car. It's a honda civic. Her's is a black altima. Now, which one is better? I went into the kitchen and grabbed a grocery bag just in case need it. I bolted to my car, and got in. I crunk up my car, and drove off. I slid on my shades, and plugged my iPhone into the car charger. I dialed Rayan's number and put the phone on speaker.
"What's up babygal?" he answered. "What are you doing?" I asked, turning on a green light. "Chilling, why what's up?" he asked. "I'm coming over. No negotiation," I said, hanging up. I drove to Rayan's street when I noticed a familiar black car. Shit, I hope Meek doesn't recognize me. He rolled down his window, and I quickly rolled mine up. Good thing my windows were tinted. I sped down the street faster, when I realized the same car turned around and started to follow mine. I turned the corner, and sped down an alley. I pulled up in Rayan's backyard getting out the car. I locked my doors, and ran to Rayan's screen in back porch. I banged on the door, and Rayan opened the door. I hurried in, and closed the door. I flew into Rayan's arms.
"You okay Courtney?" Ray asked. "I seen Meek. Now ask that question again," I growled. "Shit, he's not going to do anything to you babe," Ray said, hugging me close. I sighed hugging him close. "I love you baby," he said in my ear. "You my bae. You my everything. I will kill Meek my gotdamn self if I have to. I mean it Courtney, I'm so in love with you. I'll do anything to protect you. You my future wife, with my baby that you're carrying. You're forever my lady baby."
I smiled. "Aww, I love you so much!" I squealed, hugging his neck tight. He picked me up by the butt, and carried me into his room. He put me down. "So how y'all doing?" he rubbed my stomach. "We're fine," I grinned. I laid on his bed, and he laid next to me. He wrapped his arms around me. He switched on the TV, as the news channel flipped on the screen.
"This just in, nineteen year old, Tyrek Lopez, was found shot in the head, dead today. Further information later."
"Oh my god!" I exclaimed. It looked as if Rayan was a frozen statue. He wasn't doing any movement. No speaking, breathing, moving, crying, anything. "Ray!" I cried. He exhaled as the emotion roared out. He got out of the bed, and punched the wall. "My brother!" he yelled, crying. "My brother! My best friend! Why god why!"
I hopped out of bed, and wrapped the covers over his shoulders. "No Courtney no!" he cried pushing me away. I caught my balance, and wiped the tears from my eyes. Who in the world would do this to Tyrek? Tyrek is such a sweet person. Ray fell to his knees crying. I kneeled to his side, and he hugged me close. "You want to go to the hospital?" I asked. He nodded, and I helped him up to my car. I locked both house doors, and got in the car. We pulled off and sped to the hospital.
