Matt is in the kitchen making brunch, a few minutes ago my stomach growled but now it's empty. I think I'm past the growling point. Though I don't really feel hungry, I just feel empty. The clock is ticking and it makes me look at it, five minutes left, I can make it. Even though I'm not so hungry, the nice smell of food makes me want to put food in my mouth, I'm not really sure if that's weird but that's how I feel.

My phone buzz. I lean over to reach my phone from the table in front of the sofa and the weight of my belly almost makes me fall over, but I save myself by placing my hand on the table and push me back. The screen is shining bright and since it's morning, I have to look at the screen for awhile before I can actually see something. I've received a voicemail from Peter. The edges of my mouth curl into a smile, it's been awhile since we talked.

"Hey Gab, just wanted to check on you and your little one. Well that's basically everything I wanted to say, have a nice day and remember that I'll always be a call away if you need anything. Bye" The voicemail says.

Peter is such a nice guy and I'm lucky to have him as a friend.

"Food's ready" Matt calls from the kitchen.

I get up from the sofa and walk tired to the table, I sit down. Matt comes carrying a plate with pancakes, yes, I love pancakes. It literally has to be the best thing ever because it fits for all meals you need in a day. I mean, breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, dessert. It fits for everything, and not to mention that you can use different toppings. Today's topping is syrup, it must be the best one.

"So, what was this building project about?" I ask.

Matt cut a piece from his pancake and put it in his mouth, then he takes a sip of milk from his glass.

"We're renovating some of the classrooms in a old school" He answers.

"Who's we?" I ask after finishing my first pancake.

Matt look at me as if it wasn't a relevant question, to me it looks like he don't want to answer but I can't be sure so it's up to him if he'll answer or not.

"Right know I don't really know" He say "I was talking to a company about a contract but it kind of went out of track and we never agreed about something" He continue.

I know Matt very well, he's good hearted and when he decides to do something, he won't change his mind.

"And you really want to renovate that school" I say, because I know he want to.

"Yeah" He say disappointing.

I feel so sad for Matt, he really want to renovate that school to create a good environment for the children but he's struggling right now. If there was anything I could do, I would do it right now. And when I'm thinking about there's one thing I actually can do, it's to go to that school and see how bad it actually is. If it's bad enough we can do a knockback. I'll do anything to make Matt happy.
