A nurse came in a few minutes ago and told us we're allowed to go home, but as with everyone we have to keep an close eye on the baby in case something pops up. But for now and hopefully for a very long time, everything will be okay with my baby girl.

Gabby has put her clothes on and is now holding Zoë in her arms, swinging slightly from side to side to keep her calm and happy. While she's doing that, I'm helping her to pack some stuff.

I'm almost done with everything when I realize that I have someone to talk to, or to be more accurate, someone to apologize to. I should actually apologize to about everyone working here but for now it'll do with just Dr.Rhodes.

"I got something to take care of, it'll be quick" I say.

She look up at me and then back at Zoë "Don't take too long, I think she misses you" she say.

Those are words of happiness. It really is the best thing to hear that the person you love, loves you, and the person you miss, misses you; and the person you want to spend your life with, want to spend their life with you.

I'm going to have to talk to Gabby later, we have some unsolved things. Some of them are going to stay unsolved because it's just stupid things Gabby and I started to pick on each other. But some, and many things, are hopefully going to get solved and I hope that's the key to our new beginning.

"I'll be back before you notice I left" I say and smile.

She smile back and then I leave the room. I take the empty elevator down and find my way to the front desk where I see Maggie.

"Have you seen Dr.Rhodes?" I ask.

She nod her head toward he office. I give her a thankful smile and turn around and start walking there.

"Hey Casey" she say.

I stop. What if she says I'm not allowed to go there because of what happened. I mean, because of my behavior they could easily see me as one of those "bad" ones they don't want any near around.

I turn around.

"Congratulations" she say.

"Thanks" I say and smile.

I turn around again and keep walking toward the office. When I reach it I knock on the door before I enter.

When I enter he look up at me as if I were a colleague and he wanted to know which one I was. But as soon as he see who I am, his smile drops and his arms crosses over his chest.

"I need to apologize for my terrible behavior earlier, I-I mean it was completely stupid and it'll never-" I say.

"Don't worry about it" he cut me off "You cared about your wife and child, it's natural"

"Thanks by the way, for doing whatever you did to save her life" I say.

"Oh, no worries, that's what I do" he reply.

"Just so you know, keep doing what you do because you're damn good at it" I say.

"Thank you" he reply and hold out his hand.

I grab it, and we shake hands. This is a good ending on the old me. And I'll have a great new start on the new me.
