Back for more?  Haha I literally just wrote the first chapter to my story and its like one a.m in New York, but I don't give a shit haha School sucks just as much when I'm tired or awake.  O

Ok!  Our protagonist still doesn't know he's like his best friend in that he has some sort of mutation.  I've decided on the "power" I want him to have and although its been used before its pretty uncommon which is cool!  So yeah shits going down boys and girls.

I started walking toward Mr. Riley's room for Songwriter's club.  It was a blast last year and this was the first meeting of the new school year.  Last year the club got to preform some original material at a concert in the school auditorium and at The Shop.  This year I hoped we might even put out a demo.

I assumed I was the last one to get to the room because everyone from last year was here already so I took a seat and took out my note book full of lyrics and tabs.

The door opened and while everyone else was talking amongst them selves this girl walked in.  She was about the same height as me and had dark skin and curly hair.  She was extremely cute.  I could tell right away she was either a freshman or just new to the High School.  I knew right away I was going to have make some sort of move in the next forty five minutes if I wanted a chance of going on a date with her.  She was that cute.

She came up to Mr. Riley

"Is this Songwriter's Club?" She asked with such a sweet voice.

"Actually, yes!  Hello I'm Mr. Riley and I'm glad you've come!  New members are always welcome please take a seat we're just about to begin"

She took a seat a little out of the way from everyone else in the room.  The room was in an area of the High School especially dedicated to music, in this room there was a section used for learning piano so of course there were about twenty keyboards on one half of the room while the other half there was about thirty chairs rows forming a semi circle.  She sat in the row behind me and I was in the front row with the other six people from last year.

"Alright everybody I hope you all had a great summer and I'm glad everyone from last year is back and I'm especially glad there is a new face among us.  Alright why don't we all say a little bit about our selves for the new comer.  First off I am Mr. Riley I teach piano and voice here at KHS and I play the accordion also.  Most importantly I love my students so if you ever need anything come straight to me."

Next Dane a cool dude who had the stereotypical flippy hair and skinny jeans who was a friend of mine that was really into screamo started talking.

"Hi, I'm Dane and um I love Screamo and I play guitar and write music and Yeah haha"

Than Dakotah a kind of quirky nerdy looking dude.

"I'm Dakotah and I play drums"

Than Dakotah's equally quirky friend started talking.

"I'm Alex and I play Alto Sax"

Than the three other dude's introduced themselves.  The club was kind of a sausage fest haha, but it was worth it.  Then it was my turn.

"Hey, I'm Andrew and um I play a couple instruments and I love music and this club and pretty much anything else haha I don't know"

Then the girl started talking sounding slightly nervous

"I'm Rebbecca and I just moved from across the river, I sing and write lyrics"

I felt a little weird but I definitely knew this girl was special in some way.  The remainder of the meeting went by quickly, we just discussed our plans and expectations for the year.  Next week we'd talk about the music.  As we began to leave to go home I walked over to Rebbecca and tried to play it cool

"Hey"

"Um, hi"

"I'm Andrew.."

"Yeah I know"  She sounded nervous and although I didn't sound it I was a nervous.

"So you just moved here?"

"Yep."

"So um there's this party tonight at this guy Mike G's house, pretty much anyone can go so you know you should go so you can meet people since you probably don't know that many people"

"Hmm I don't know I just met you I don't really know if I wanna go on a date"

I was shocked I hadn't meant for it to be obvious and I guess it showed on my face because then she said

"Haha I knew you were asking me out!  Well, you're right I don't know that many people and you're kinda cute so I'll go to the party if you take me there"

I was doubly shocked.

"Wow haha that's awesome the party's not until later though so where do you wanna meet?"

"Umm I live pretty close to Mariner's Harbor, you wanna just meet me there?"

"Yeah I'll come by around 8, is that cool?"

"Definitely" She replied flirtatiously and then she walked away.  I felt pretty unstoppable getting a date this early into the school year with such a cool girl.

I skated to The Kingston Stadium in uptown where the school's teams played and where track was today.

"Alright guys and girls today's gonna be an easier day for you, I just want everyone to do twenty laps around the football field and then you can go." Said Coach Brown

Coach Brown was a cool dude, he was about fifty and really happy all the time.

Even though it was pretty warm out today twenty laps wouldn't be that bad. So I quickly changed into some shorts and went about it a decent pace calm and relaxed as I did so, thinking about how the day went.  Most importantly was Andy still.  That was one of the craziest things I've ever seen.  As I was running I saw some pollen and consequentially I sneezed and when I did I tripped on the track and landed hard on the ground.

I got back up and looked back where I had fallen.  There was a piece of the solid track jutting about six inches out of the ground.  It wasn't significant looking but I hadn't ever noticed it before.

I finished my last lap and made my way back home to get ready for my date.
