Ok so finally shit is going to go down! I'm pretty psyched to see what happens since I'm kind of making it up as I go haha.
So True Believers! Stay tuned and enjoy the newest installment in... The X-men: Born Different.
As soon as I had returned to my apartment I jumped in the shower, you know since running laps doesn't exactly make you smell like roses. I didn't really think about anything while I showered I was mainly cooling down. When I got out I texted Andy
"Hey broski, meet me at Mike G's party tonight"
I then dressed into just as casual, slightly cleaner clothes. It was six o'clock and I had time to burn so I left my sister a note since she was at work just telling her to call me if she needs me and I'll be at Andy's tonight. Not that it was a surprise I was always with him, we're closer than brothers. I doubt even his real brother knows him as well as I do. So after I left the note I grabbed a small plain string bag and loaded it with a change of clothes and my phone charger and went out for a walk.
So I had two hours and I still couldn't get a hold of Andy, but I didn't feel like chilling anyway. Its always good to be able to relax and stroll the quiet parts of town. Over where I was walking there was no traffic and really nice houses. Houses were another one of my things along with shoes and tea. A nice house is a beautiful thing and a beautiful house is just amazing. I went to the end of this cul-de-sac I rarely went down, it was slightly uphill and extremely quiet and equally beautiful. I came up to the very end of the street and leaned on to the fence that enclosed the dead end. Since this road was uphill from where I was I could look down to the round out creek which is connected to the Hudson. It was stellar. I saw more pollen in the air and of course I sneezed. When I looked up after sneezing I could've sworn the land scape of the the downward slope in front of me was more elevated.
"I must be crazy" I said aloud, not like there was anyone around to hear me. For people who live in such a beautiful part of town they never seem to be around to enjoy it.
I checked the time and it was seven twenty. Unless I wanted to be late I better leave now I thought. I started making my way back to Broadway since Mariner's Harbor was on it although it was at the far end of it by the Roundout creek. Hence why that part of town is called the Roundout. It dawned on me again that not only did I have a date, with someone who seemed extremely cool, but I also had to fight James. What if I lost? I began to feel nervous. I really didn't want to scare Rebbecca away or make a fool of myself in front of her.
I'll just explain to her when I see her that some type of altercation between me and someone else might happen. Easier said than done on a first date I thought.
It was eight ten when I finally made it to Mariner's. Instantly I saw her. She was so beautiful, she was wearing a short dress with leggings, nothing to fancy but she looked good. So good, in fact I knew she was most likely out of my league. I quickly shook that thought out of my head. This was gonna be a good night I just need to play it cool.
I made my way right up to her on the semi busy street corner.
"Hey" I said a little loud so she would look my way.
"Oh hey I was getting worried, you wouldn't show up!"
"And pass up a night with you?"
"She rolled her eyes at me, "Loser" she said that obviously meaning to make fun of my lame flirting attempt. I stuck out my tongue at her.
"Well Mademoiselle, may I have the honor of escorting you this shindig now?"
"Why thank you my good sir. Please do lead on"
