Hey True Believers, this is the sixth chapter. I'm really making progress, but I feel like this could some kind of epically long saga which could be good or bad.
I was pretty excited as the day went on. Because of this the day also went by fast and by eleven me and Andy were on our way to Westchester County in the Professor's limo. Logan had explained that on normal occasions their private jet would be used, but since we're only at the most a two and a half hour drive away we used the limo. This all sounded so extravagant.
As we were driving, Ororo and Professor X, which is what the majority of his students called him started going over basics about the school and mutants in general.
"First off, not all is as it seems. There are many mutants all over the world, not huge a percentage of people are mutants, but those that are deserve the same rights as any other person. Some people disagree with this, not just Anti-Mutant groups that are on the rise, but also other mutants. One such mutant is Magneto. Magneto is an old rival of the X-Men and a menace to society. He believes that mutants are superior to humans and that the humans should be eliminated. Now we definitely do not share or condone these ideals, our first priority is always the well being of other mutants, our second is peace between humans and mutants." Explained Ororo
"Wait a minute, what's the X-Men?" Asked Andy
"I can't believe I didn't explain that, Charles would you like to tell them?"
"Certainly Ororo, gentlemen. The X-men is a team of mutants I can trust my life with and have certain degree of control over their powers. As the creator of The X-men I mentor the team and send it across the globe to protect humanity from all those who threaten it. Any student has the choice whether or not to join The X-men after they are deemed ready."
"Are you and Logan a member of The X-men, Ororo?" I asked.
"Yes. Me and Logan have been with Charles practically since the beginning. Often me or Logan lead the team into battle."
"Battle? How dangerous is life as an X-men?"
"It ain't pretty kid." Logan said from the driver's seat.
I sat back to ponder this. Being an X-men would literally be like being a super hero. It was crazy to even think it could really happen.
"Professor, when do you think I'll know what my power is?"
"The fact that I can tell you are mutant means you have already used it somewhere. You just haven't noticed it yet."
"Does this mean my power is insignificant?"
"It means you have barely used it to its full potential. That or you are extremely unobservant."
"Hm I hope its the first one."
"Us too."
And at that we laughed.
"Alright we should be at the mansion in just a moment" Said the Professor.
He wasn't exaggerating either it was less than a minute before we pulled on to the property. As I stepped out of the limo I was simply amazed at what I say. This building was absolutely amazing. It was so large and classically designed. It must've been as wide as several tennis courts and four stories tall.
The grounds surrounding the building were equally impressive. It consisted of acres full of flat open grass or garden patches enclosed by trees. The whole estate seemed pretty secluded.
As the five of us walked towards the main entrance I was getting really excited. I figured Andy was too because he hadn't said anything.
Immediately after entering the house my breath was taken away from me by the absolute beauty of this house. The walls were intricately painted with unique designs, and the floors were oak. I would do anything to live here.
"Hi!" Exclaimed a young pretty brunette girl came out of no where. "I'm Kitty, welcome to the school!"
"Hello Kitty, this is Andy and Andrew two potential students whom I've invented to see the estate." Said Xavier.
"Hey" I said extending out my hand, which was accepted.
"Hey, excuse me is this heaven?" asked andy "Because you're an angel."
Kitty just looked at him for a moment and walked away.
I couldn't help but chuckle."Fucking swag bro"
Andy gave me a death stare and then punched me hard in the shoulder.
"So gentlemen, perhaps you would like a tour of the building?" asked the Professor, obviously wanting to avoid any kind of shenanigans.
"Of course Sir!" Said Andy enthusiastically.
"Ororo, would you please show these boys around? And when you are done I want to see you two in my office."
The two of us left Xavier and Logan with Ms. Munroe.
This chapter was for whatever reason hard to write and I don't know how well written it is, but I have a at least a few decent ideas for the next chapter so Stay Tuned!
