Chapter 9! A House With The Holy

I kind of just wanted to reference Led Zeppelin in the title of this chapter haha.  So quick recap:  Our two main characters Andrew and Andy have discovered their powers and their most basic capabilities with them.  Andrew having the ability to manipulate and produce the four classical elements, Earth, Fire, Wind and Water and his best friend Andy has Accelerated Healing and Super Strength .  Pretty gnarly I'd say.  So Stay Tuned True Believer Because The Best Is Yet To Come!

The four of us left The Danger Room to go to the dining hall.  Me and Andy could not stop talking about how we kicked ass in the Danger Room.  Even Charles and Ororo said we were pretty impressive for our first use of our powers.  I already couldn't wait to practice again.  

We entered the dining hall which was filling with people, most appeared to be my age.  Xavier moved his wheelchair to the absolute head of the table and Ororo took a seat next to him.  Me and Andy looked around and I pointed to two free seats each across from one another towards the middle of the obscenely large table.  We took our seats and the table was pretty full of about twenty people.  Both the seats next to Andy were full by two attractive women, I'm sure he was happy he picked that spot.  The seat on my left was occupied by a young brown haired guy carrying on a conversation with a girl across the table and no one was sitting to my right.

I was looking around waiting for the food to arrive when a flash of black smoke appeared and a man was sitting next to me.  Not just any man, but a blue furry man.

"Woah!  Far out dude!" I said to him

"My entrance or my appearance?"  He said in a slight German accent.

"Both!  Haha I'm Andrew" 

"My name is Kurt Wagner, but some people call me Nightcrawler.  It is a pleasure to meet you Andrew."

"Yeah, What's up?"

"Just another day at the mansion, what brings you here?"

"The Professor, Ororo and Logan found me and my friend last night and invited us to spend the week here."  I said pointing to Andy who was now talking to the gorgeous blond next to him.

"Ahh so you are a mutant then?"

"Yeah, but I only found out today.  The Professor knew before I did.  I'm only here because he sensed it when I was with Andy."

"Well that seems very lucky!  any idea on what you can do?"

"I believe I have control over the four elements, I might have more which would be crazy, but like I said I only found out today.  What about you?"

"Well as you can see I look quite different than you and I can teleport.  That's it."

"You say that's it like its no big deal.  Teleporting seems kick ass"

"Oh it is, I guess I'm just so used to it now though."

"How do you cope with your appearance?  I think its cool but I doubt you get a warm reception from people outside the house."

"Fortunately, McCoy and The Professor developed this for me."

He showed me a black watch on his wrist.

"Watch this" He said and he hit a button on the watch.  He quickly turned in to a handsome young man with with jet black hair and pretty pale skin.

"Wow that's cool man!"

"Yeah it definitely makes my life a lot easier."  We smiled and laughed as salad was placed on our plate by a bombshell with short blond hair. 

"Thank you."  Me and Kurt said at the same time.  She nodded her head and moved on to the next group of people to continue serving.  I was really taken back by how cute she was. 

"Kurt, who is that?"

"Her names Tabitha, but I'd be careful around her if I were you.  She is quite a handful."

I nodded, but then realized even if I made some sort of contact with Tabitha I was till involved with Rebbecca.  I missed her and decided I'd call her after dinner.

"Hello, everyone before we really get into this meal I'd like to introduce two young men who will be spending the week with us, perhaps longer if they so choose.  Boys, could you please stand up."

I looked at Andy and shrugged.  We both stood up with everyone's attention focused on us.

"This is andrew"  Ororo said motioning towards me, I waved.  "and this is andy"  he smiled and bowed.  "These gentlemen are guests of honor while they stay and I want everyone to be on their best behavior while they're here.  Boys you may sit down now."

And so we did.  The food was really good.  I started thinking about really living here.  So far there seemed to more pros than cons.  I wouldn't miss school that much.  I wasn't that far from Kingston I could always drive back there and visit when I get my license.  My sister wouldn't mind I'm sure.  She was busy and money was tight plus she'd understand me wanting to stay here.

Halfway through dinner which was oriental style tonight, I had miso soup since I didn't eat meat, I left to go call Rebbecca.

I went out to the back yard and pulled out my cell phone to call her.  As I did I looked over to the horizon above the trees.  Living here would be the best thing that ever happened to me.

"HI!" She answered snapping me out of my trance.

"Hey Rebbecca, what's up?"

"Just doing some home work cause I'm a cool cat."

"Oh wow that is so bad ass!  You better slow down."

She laughed "Oh you know me so well, whats up with you?"

"Well um I coming back to Kingston at the end of the week, and I don't know how long I'll be in Kingston so Friday when I get back you wanna go out on a date or something?"

"Definitely!  The last one was so much fun I can't wait to hang out again."

"Sweet!  Well I have to go, but I promise Friday will be awesome."

"Goodbye mister."

"Peace out miss."

I hung up the phone and went to the lounge on the first floor.  It was empty so I turned on the news and took a seat on one of the leather couches.

Surprise, surprise my friend Oscar Riccarddi was on.  The headline read as "Riccarddi, a local outspoken Politician declares run for president."

I was immediately worried.  This man would do anything he could to ruin the lives of people like me.  As president the possibilities of my life becoming a living hell were endless. 

He was on the news now talking about why he was running.

"I love this country and there are certain things happening now that are going to ruin it.  For example mutants."

Well there ya go one day in on the campaign and we've already been singled out.

"Mutants are dangerous creatures.  We've seen them cause terrible damage in the past and there's not a doubt in my mind that they won't attempt to cause more."

I was infuriated, I had no idea what he was talking about.  Tomorrow I'll talk to The Professor about it.  I turned the t.v off and went up to the dorm room on the fourth floor Ororo had told me was mine.  It was bigger than my room at my apartment and really cozy. 

I laid down on the bed to think, but I fell asleep almost instantly.
