The burning of Kingston was an actual historical even that occurred in my town during the Revolutionary War.  It isn't the most exciting part of the Revolution by a long shot, but for some reason up until a few years ago celebrating the town being burnt to the ground by The British was a highlight of the town's culture.  Now the town may face a similar only much more catastrophic.  Can our heroes unite and save the small town of Kingston and a man who plans on dedicating his life to end theirs?  Stay tuned and find out True Believers!

As we got closer and closer to Kingston I knew things were terrible.  There were police cars speeding past us to Kingston and every other sort of traffic coming towards us.  Needless to say whatever was in store for us in Kingston wasn't the only nightmare we had to face that day.

I felt sick as we proceeded past New Paltz.  It was only a matter of time before we really saw some real evidence of the on going conflict in Kingston.  In only fifteen minutes my life would be on the line.  I sat and focused.  I closed my eyes and took deep breaths.

I could do this.

We were in Kingston.  We we're right along the Roundout Creek.  In less than a minute we'd be on Broadway and see first hand what was happening.  Smoke clouded the air.  Sirens were the only noise we could comprehend.  I looked over at Allison, she seemed pretty nervous.  This helped to make me feel better that I wasn't the only one.

Allison looked up at me, when we made eye contact we just offered up smiles that said it was nice knowing you and I'm glad you're here.

BAM!

Like a cliche and like it was planned as we pulled on to Broadway a large SUV flew in front of us rolling on its side crashing into Mariner's Harbor, where only a few days ago I had met Rebbecca.

I jumped out of the hummer before my team and ran out into the street.  What I saw made me want to break down.  I hated this town but to see it like this was heartbreaking.  All up the street there was fire.  My home looked like a township in Hell.  I saw police cars barricading part of the hill that lead to the Hospital, town hall and my high school.

Well with any luck that school had been destroyed.  I smirked at that thought and I ran up the hill through the fire and the flames to find The X-men and more importantly Andy.  I wondered if he was alive.  I shook this away.  Of course he was alive.  He was as tough as they come, maybe loud and stupid and funny and ugly and crazy and definitely the best friend someone could ever have.  He was alive, he had to be.

"Stop!  You can't go any further, its a goddamn war zone just around this fucking turn!"  The officers shouted at me surrounding their squad cars.

I didn't care if the devil himself was masturbating around this fucking turn, my friends needed me.  I ran even faster towards the police, pushing one to the ground as tried to grab me.  I jumped on to the hood of a squad car and on to the ground in front of it.  I sprinted around the turn in case they were determined to "save me".

I turned the corner.  I looked straight toward the place where I'd been born, the place I'd gone to school for the past three years.  Hell even the place I got breakfast from every morning.  They we're all destroyed or being destroyed by a myriad of super powered legionaries.  I chased up Broadway to the obliterated Burger King.  In the rubble Kurt Wagner was dressed in some black leather suit fighting some one I didn't recognize.  He was below average height and extremely agile as he leaped from the collapsed roof the partial wall sticking to each as he did.

Suddenly this dastardly foe's tongue shot out of its mouth knocking Kurt on to his back.  The unknown mutant then pounced on to Kurt.  I held out my right arm and feeling free of my anxiety and any hesitance I shot out a blast of water knocking the villain off of Kurt.  Kurt teleported next to me in the damaged road.

"Thank you for helping me" he said out of breath.  The nameless foe stood up from the rubble and jumped at us.

"You filthy X-men!"

While in the air Kurt took a fighting stance, but I quickly brought the ground in front of us upward like a wall.  This fiend crashed in to it hard enough that he broke through it landing at our feet incapacitated.

"That's quite impressive."

I ignored his compliment.  "What's going on?  Where's my friend?"
