The next morning I woke up feeling completely refreshed.  I looked over to the plain clock on the wall across from the bed, it was seven.  This bed was one of my new best friends.  Speaking of friends, I wonder what Andy had been up to since I last saw him at dinner.  He was completely capable of handling himself, but he was also completely capable of getting himself into a lot of trouble.

I got out of bed and went into the string bag I had brought with me to look for a change of clothes.  I pulled out a pair of black jeans and a purple sweater.  I left my room and entered the corridor of the right wing of the building on the fourth floor.  I couldn't remember where the bathroom was.  I turned and went left hoping it was this way.  After passing four locked doors, one on my right was clearly labeled bathroom.  I grabbed the handle and made my way in.

It was empty.  I came to three possible reasons.  Everyone is asleep, everyone already showered or this bathroom was haunted.  I walked into the first shower and closed the glass door behind me.  The water woke me up instantly, being ice cold.  I quickly changed it to hot.  Cold showers suck.

This whole house has put me in some kind of crazy good mood, I started singing Led Zeppelin in the shower because of it.  I was so caught up in the song I didn't realize some one walk into the bathroom.

"Shut the fuck up you can't sing!"  I easily recognized the voice as Andy's.

"Yo fuck you bro I'm better than you."

I heard him enter and turn on the shower next to me.

"Oh fuck that's cold!"

I laughed.  "So man how was your night?" I tried talking louder than usual to be heard over the water.

"Unsuccessful."

"How so?"

"They all played hard to get."

I couldn't help but laugh again.

"You think its funny?  I haven't seen you even try to get anyone."

"That's cause I don't need to.  Friday I met this girl and I took her to Mike G's party as my date and now I guess we're going steady"

"Fuck you."

"Hey man you just gotta step up your game."

I got out of the shower and dressed quickly to let Andy rethink his strategy in peace.  I decided the first thing I should do is talk to The Professor about what Riccarddi said on the news last night.  I had to know if I would be making the right decision by aligning with a group on the subject of mutant relations.

Knock Knock.

"Andrew, please come in."  I had almost forgotten about his telepathy that it scared me that he knew who I was.  I entered his office which was becoming very familiar to me by now.  He was alone and looking over some file in his hands.

"Hello Professor."

"Good morning son, how may I help you?"

"I wanted to talk about a couple things actually.  Well, I was watching the news and Oscar Riccarddi was speaking...."

"I know what you're thinking, having such an outspoken opponent of my organization and mutants in general could be extremely problematic if he had any sort of following let alone a succesful campaign.  Now if you are afraid of any sort of action he may look to enact against mutant kind you would be much safer near my X-men than back home if people knew the truth about you.  While the X-men do not look to cause trouble we will defy authoritative figures if it means saving one ofour own.  There are already individuals in government who despise us such as Governors Chauncey and Bush from Texas and Florida and Senator Kelly from New York.  They work hard to make our lives miserable, but as of yet they do not have large xenophobic followings.  Hopefully it will stay that way.  You can align yourself with no one better than The X-men I assure you."

"Thank you, Professor.  While on the news though, Riccarddi said something about how mutants have been responsible for dangerous events in the past, what was he talking about?"

"Do you remember the man I spoke to you about in the limo yesterday, Magneto?  Well not only is he an enemy to the X-men but also one to man kind.  On many occasions I have dispatched my team to thwart some kind of attempt of his that involved innocents dying.  Some of his attempts were stronger than others."

"I see."

"Believe me he is not a man to be underestimated.  Most of his attacks are kept out of the headlines to keep the public calm, but he is a very real threat to anyone especially us."

I nodded, I had more questions, but they could wait.  I was more interested in something that was really bugging me.  "Where do I get breakfast, and when can I use The Danger Room?"

"At any time through out the day you can go to the kitchen and fix yourself something to eat.  After all this is a house primarily full of teenagers so we have more than enough food.  Now I'd prefer if you use the Danger Room under someone's supervision since you are new to how it works.  Logan is usually in there and if he is not Scott is and while I don't believe you have met Scott he would more than enjoy helping you practice."

"Thank you Professor, that is all I needed to know.  Do you need anything?"

"Actually yes.  Hypothetically if you chose to reside here would you like to take classes here or enroll at the local high school?"

"I'll ask around and let you know when I decide, if that's okay?"

"Yes of course.  I'll see you later"

"Peace out Professor."

I was pleased with the honest responses he had given me.  I wanted to talk to more people however about magneto and also the local high school I guess.  If I was interested in becoming an X-men when the time came it'd be a good idea to know at least a little bit more about my adversary.

I entered the large dining hall it was empty.  I proceeded through one of the doors in the room to the kitchen.  It was huge and full with large appliances.  I was over whelmed since the most impressive thing I could make was grilled cheese.  I found the fridge and just grabbed some yogurt.  I didn't feel like looking for silver ware and just chugged the yogurt out of its small individual container.  It wasn't a lot but I was satisfied.

Next, I headed to back into a corridor looking for an elevator.  I found one Ororo had pointed out yesterday easily when I got out I realized I didn't know how to go down.  I didn't feel like looking for someone to ask so I decided to ry something weird and make contact with The Professor.

Professor, can you hear me?

Yes, Andrew what is it?

How can I get to The Danger Room?

Are you in an elevator?

Yes sir

Hit all the buttons from 1 to 4 and then from 4 to 1

I tried this and the elevator began to move downward.

Thank you Professor.

Anytime.

As I got out of the elevator I jogged down the white corridor towards The Danger Room, I was extremely excited to use my powers again.  The door to The Danger Room opened and I shot through them.  The box was empty.

I looked down to the arena and I saw Logan taking on huge robots with extreme prejudice.  It was almost frightening to see him.  He was in an all black leather outfit and wait, did he have claws?  Yes, there were three long metallic like blades sticking out of his knuckles on each hand.  He used these dagger like appendages to slice, dice and stab his lifeless competition.

I decided I should just jump right in and join him.  So I got in the elevator to take on his foes with him.
