Red and Blue: The Great Journey

Chapter 1: Oak

The sun was shining above the little town of Pallet town. Great Pidgeys flew by the clouds, with their wings flattering as they flew.

Meanwhile on a comfy bed lies a 14 year-old boy. He is dreaming as he sleep, and he didn't mine the time as it flew by their clock. In his dream, an old man wearing a white coat spoke up upon him saying, "Red! Wake up now, its time to pick your starter Pokemon! Red!...." The voice seemed to fade out as Red realized that he was asleep.

Red woke up with humiliation. He then realized that this is one of the most important day in his life. He stared down the clock, and it was already 8:00 am. "Oh no, I am late."said Red, " I almost forgot yo wake up early because I will go to Prof. Oak's Lab." He then hurried scraming downstairs and got ready to go out.

He walked through the door and saw his neighbor, Green. "Hi Red, looks like you have been late to rise up this morning. I already picked up my starter Pokemon."said Green. Red responded in shame," I actually forgot to set my alarm clock."

Do you know Green? She is Red's neighbor and childhood friend, and his "Apple of my Eye". He then saw her catch a Rattata.

After Green left, Red went to Professor Oak's Laboratory. He was surprised to see Blue, his rival. There was also Prof. Oak. He saw two pokeballs in Oak's desk.

Prof. Oak spoke up," Red, why are you late!?" Blue continued, "What's up Red? What's with the 'unearly birdness'?

Are you sick of your rival? Well Blue is one of the most annoying rival in the world. He and Red were rivals since babies.

Anyways, Red came towards Oak. Prof. Oak then told him to pick on which starter would he like. Red picked Charmander, whil Blue picked the type disadvantage which is the water type Squirtle. "Now that you had chosen your partner, I am now giving you a Pokedex to start with. I am also giving you 5 Pokeballs for catching Pokemon." said Oak. As Red then turned back, Blue then challenged Red to a Pokemon battle. "Lets see if you have the guts to travel the whole Kanto region. Bring it on!"

The battle started, which each of them calling out their pokemon. Charmander appeared to Red, with a glint in his eyes. Blue then commanded his Squirtle to use Tackle, and Charmander used Scratch as a counter attack. Squirtle then used Tail Whip to lower Charmander's Defense Stat. Charmander again used Scratch, while Blue is able to smile because of Red's decision. Squirtle used Tackle and it is the last move used to knock down Red's Charmander.

"I win, you lose. Geez, youre but a weakling to defeat me." said Blue in pride. Red seemed okay after that disappointing loss, and Prof. Oak advised him to heal his pokemon in the nearest Pokemon Center if needed. After the battle, Oak told Red and Blue that they will be needing a Town Map for them to navigate the region, and Blue rushed to Daisy's house to get one. Luckily, Red's mom has one, and she lent him. Red is off to Route 1, while saying, "I shall return, dear hometown."
