Red and Blue: The Great Journey

Chapter 6: Tough Decision

The battle started as Marcus was a crazy leader.

Red: Charmander!

Marcus: Kakuna!

Despite the type disadvantage, Marcus did not seem to panic. His Kakuna used Harden, with Charmander using Ember as a power move. The attack damaged only a little to Kakuna.

Red: What happened!? Ember is a Fire type attack!

Marcus: Are you surprised? I got brains too, not like you! Defense is important too, so you better not focus on attack moves.

Red: Ember!

Marcus: Fwah! Don't repeat your mistake! Kakuna, Harden!

Ember didn't work, so Kakuna used Poison Sting and Charmander was poisoned. Red was forced to switch him with Pidgey.

Marcus: Well, nice tactic there. But can you still manage to win?!

Red: Pidgey, Gust!

It took damage to Kakuna as it is also a powerful move to Bug types.

Marcus: I still have one more, so don't you dare celebrate yet.

He sent out his Pikachu. Pikachu used Thundershock to knockout Pidgey.

Now, Red now has to choose between a poisoned Charmander and an inexperienced Beedrill.

Red: Go, Beedrill! Use Twinneedle!

Marcus: Pikachu use Quick Attack to dodge those!

Red: Fly up Beedrill!

Marcus: What do you think you're doing?! Pikachu Thundershock!

Red: Beedrill use Twinneedle at the jolt!

Marcus: Huh? Are you making a lightning rod!?

Red: I've got brains too. Finish it Beedrill with Poison Sting!

And just like that , the Pikachu fainted because of the two needles shocking him.

Marcus: I... Impressive...

Red: Now that I've battled you, will you now quit on doing this?

Marcus: Of course... We shall just attend Trainers School to hone our skills.

Red: Now were talking!

Red advanced to the forest gate and took a leap upon entering Pewter City.He headed to Pokemon Center to heal his Pokemon, and somebody approached him.

Boy: Uhm, hello mister. Do you know how to trade?

Who is this  boy who asked Red how to trade? Now that he is on Pewter City, he will be facing the first Gym leader of Kanto, Brock!
