Chapter 4: His First Battle Against...

Red then took Pidgey's pokeball, and departed the dome. Mr. Jeff congratulated Red for his great effort.

Mr. Jeff: I thought you are a beginner who still dont know how to catch a pokemon? How did you emerge with one caught?

Red: Well its a kinda complicated, but somehow I managed to do my best.

Mr. Jeff: That's the spirit! Now, I shall leave you now and go back to Route 1 in search of trainers who may be interested. Good luck to your journey!

Red: Thank you so much, Mr. Jeff! You helped a lot.

Mr. Jeff left Red, and as soon as he is not anymore seen, he removed his mask. He was Prof. Oak!

Oak: Whew, that is an easy job! Red really is a good trainer, and I know that he will be the champion.

Meanwhile, Red went to the Pokemon Center to heal his pokemon. They all seem to be in good condition, and a thought came up to his mind that he must train his new pokemon. So he left the pokemon center and headed to Route 2.

Red: Okay Pidgey! Its time to test your skills! Are you ready?

Pidgey: Pidgeeyy!

Red: Okay, I will let you practice with Charmander, so we can get started. Go, Charmander!

As they were practicing, someone was watching them. Who was it? It then spoke to Red from the bushes.

Mysterious Voice: Well done, Red. Good thinking.

Red: Who's there? Hmm... I think I heard that voice before?

The person then jumped from the bushes.

Red: Green?! What are you doing here?

Green: No, the question should be is "Why are you here?"

Red: I am practicing here. Whats up then?*blush*

Green: All is fine, I am just checking your status. I want to train my pokemon, so will you battle me?

Why cant Red decline? She was the prettiest girl he ever seen, so why?

Red: Alright, battle me.

The two sent out their pokemon, starting with Pidgey and Rattata. Rattata used Tackle, Pidgey used Sand Attack and Rattata was blinded so Pidgey used Tackle to knock down Rattata.

Red: Im sorry, is he alright?*blush*

Green: Im impressed that you learned and honed your battle skills. It will be serious this time!

Green sent out Bulbasaur. Pidgey used Sand Attack, but Bulbasaur has evaded it. Bulbasaur used Tackle to knock her out.

Red: Guess youre not joking, but it is also serious this time too!

Green: Then bring it on!

Red sent out Charmander. Green knew the type disadvantage, so she used Leech Seed to weaken Charmander. Charmander used Ember, which dealt Bulbasaur great damage. Bulbasaur used tackle, and Charmander finished him off by using Scratch.

Green: Oh no, Bulbasaur!

Red: Im truly sorry, Green. If you want I can heal them to a Pokemon Center?

Green: No thanks. You proved to be a great opponent for me. I will just wish you luck for your next battles.

Red:*blush overload* Me too.

Whoah, this chapter is so sweet, that even me I cant stop smiling when I wrote this chapter! Red seems to thaw Green's cold heart. Anyways, now that Red has gained enough experience in battling, his next stop would be Viridian Forest! Prepare to be bugged out!
