Red prepared to challenge Misty, and he was eager to get his next badge. He knew Charmeleon isn't a good choice against her, so he has to pick from Pidgey, Mankey, or worst, Magikarp.
Red: Misty has two Pokemon, so without Charmeleon, Pidgey! Mankey! I'm counting on you!
He entered the gym, and saw waterfalls across the place. The leader jumped on the waterfall, riding on a surfboard. She saw Red, and parked her board. Wearing her two pieced blue swimsuit, he approached Red.
Misty: Hello... You're a new face! So, what do you think are you doing here?
Red: I'm here to challenge Misty! Where is she?
Misty: You are talking to her, right now. So, have you prepared?
Red: Of course! Pidgey!
Misty: Hmph. I won't lose. Goldeen!
Red: Pidgey, Sand Attack!
Misty: Accuracy loss, then counter it with Water Sport!
The sand became mud. Goldeen used Tail Whip to throw it to Pidgey, and she was then covered in mud.
Red: Use Gust to shake it off! Quick Attack!
Misty: Water Gun, now!
Pidgey was unable to pass through the water. She crashed through a wall, and looks like his wing was broken. Suddenly, her body glowed in white light.
Red: Pidgey is evolving! Its... Its... Now a Pidgeotto!
Misty: Cool, but can it stand this? Water Gun!
Pidgeotto slapped the blast with her wing. Both trainers were amazed, even though they saw it's broken.
Red: Do you have a new move? Right. Wing Attack!
Misty: Goldeen, Fury Attack!
Boom! Both Pokemon were down. Red sent out his last Pokemon, Mankey.
Misty: Time to get serious! Staryu!
Red: Mega Kick!
Misty: Rapid Spin!
The spin was crucial for Mankey. Kicks won't anymore work, so punches are now thrown.
Red: Hmm. If I can't strike his arms, then I'll damage its core! Quick Attack!
Misty: Staryu, Rapid Spin!
Red: Now Mankey, punch its core with Karate Chop!
Staryu didn't see it coming. Damage was done, and it was a KO.
Misty: You did beat me well, and you are worthy of the Cascade Badge!
Red: Yahoo! I now have my second badge!
Misty: That was great battle. By the way, do you know Blue? He won against me, and I am admiring him now. He's so cute!
Red: ...Hehe, I never thought he has a charm with women... Alright. I'm off now, see ya!
Two down, six to go! Now that he has the Cascade Badge, he now has to do two things for now, to go to S.S. Anne and hatch the egg!
