Red proceeded to the Pokemon Tower.
Red: Well it looks like it's so creepy here. This is built for the souls of Pokemon. Gee, it's so scary here though.
A shadow lurked behind him, and whispered in his ears.
Voice: Be feared, boy... I am telling you to leave this tower right now.
Red: ( Turns Back) Who... Are you?
He saw a guy in a black and purple suit, his hair staggering around, and his mask shaped like a mask.
Shadow: I am the Shadow. I roamed far and wide in search of trainers worthy of challenging me, and questing for the Pokemon League.
Red: Then what do you want with me?
Shadow: You are bothering the home of my favorite ghost types. I will shoo you in a battle you can't forget! Go, Haunter!
Red: Magikarp!
Shadow: Hahaha! That? Come on, let's get serious then. Shadow Punch!
Red: Magikarp, Tackle! What? It didn't work?
Shadow: Fool! Normal moves aren't doing damage to ghosts! Let's finish this, Night Shade!
Red: No Magikarp!
Magikarp tumbled across the wall. He was able to get up, and a light shined.
Red: Magikarp is evolving! Whoa. A Gyarados!
Shadow: Oh no. This isn't what I expected. Shadow Ball!
Red: Use Tail Whip to deflect it!
Shadow: The ball, is hitting Haunter! No!
Red: Water Gun, Gyarados.
Shadow: It's serious now. Golbat! Air Cutter!
Red: Gyarados, Twister!
Shadow: Poison Fang!
Red: Darn! Return. Go, Graveler! Rock Throw!
Shadow: Use Agility, then use Leech Life!
Red: Counter it with Rollout!
Shadow: No!
Red: He's strong even though I caught him lately.
Shadow: Alright. You won, but wait till I make it to the Pokemon League... Until then, farewell...
Red: Good Job, Gyarados! Return.
He trained his team in the tower, before leaving for Celadon City.
Red: Hmm, Eevee, do you know what Pokemon are you going to evolve?
Eevee: Vee?
