Episode 17: A Shocking Event

Red went to the Pokemon Center, and headed for the Vermilion Gym.

Red: So, this is the third gym we are going to challenge. I wonder who's  the leader, and what  type is he using?

Someone came out of the gym's door.

Random Trainer: Oh no! My Pokemon! They're all electrified till fainted! Huh? Are you a challenger? You better be strong to take him on!

Red: What happened inside?

Random Trainer: He is a monster. No, maybe a shape shifting Pokemon! I don't know, and I'll go get rest!

Red: Weird... Okay guys, you heard him, so let's go defeat him.

He entered the gym, and called the gym leader.

Lieutenant Surge: Are you lost, little mouse?

Red: I ain't. I am here to take you down, so you better be scared.

Surge: Hahaha! You? I creamed many trainers today, and looks like you're going to be my bravest competitor! Here I go!

Red: Oh yeah,  but proud ain't a virtue. Charmeleon!

Surge: Voltorb! Sonic Boom!

Red: Flamethrower!

BOOM!

Red: Finish this battle early with Mega Punch!

Surge: Sometimes, you have to sacrifice. Selfdestruct!

Red: No! You're wounded Charmeleon!

Surge: Hehehe. Jolteon, I choose you!

Red: Can you stand? Okay. Let's finish this, Smokescreen!

Surge: Use your ears Jolteon. Alright, Thunder Wave!

Charmeleon was paralyzed.

Red: Oh no. You can still attack right? Flamethrower!

Surge: Quick Attack, then use Shock Wave!

Charmeleon was hit, and he was fainted.

Red: Time to get serious, then. If speed is his arsenal, I'll go match it then. Pidgeotto!

Surge: Hahaha! That? Are you serious then? Shock Wave!

Red: Whirlwind!

The jolt spun around the whirlwind, like a tornado.

Surge: Clever boy. Quick  Attack!

Red: Wing Attack!

CRASH!

Surge: No Jolteon!

Red: Good Job, Pidgeotto.

Surge: To all the trainers I faced, you're the second who got in this state. Consider going home, because the strongest electric type in Kanto is here! Raichu!

Red: We won't give up, right buddy? Featherdance!

Raichu was surrounded by feathers.

Surge: Thunderbolt!

Pidgeotto was hit, and fainted easily.

Red: Mankey! Double Team!

Surge:  Attack them all with Thundershock!

Red: Mega Kick!

Mankey sent Raichu flying. Raichu retaliated with Spark, but Mankey finished him with Low Kick.

Surge: No! Okay. Here's you badge.

Red: The ThunderBadge is ours!

Surge: As for your next move, I would suggest going through Rock Tunnel.

He walked out of the gym, he noticed sounds from his bag.

Red: Wait, the egg is hatching?!

Great battle, Red! He now has the ThunderBadge, and Rock Tunnel is his next, but wait! The egg is hatching?! What Pokemon is going to come out of that egg?
