CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

"No baby she needs to do for her self just let her do it." I could hear Ashley telling my dad I kept hitting Chris over and over again I felt so good to stand up to him by myself. I could see my dad and Marcus trying to come towards me "Get the fuck back and let me handle this." I seen them back up Chris got up and came towards me I started punching him in the face I was thinking about all the times that Chris was hitting me. After I got done I looked at him "Yeah look who the bitch now." I took off back to the house. Marcus came into my room "Jasmine are you okay?" I looked at him "Yeah I think that's what I need to do for myself." I smiled at him then I gave him a hug. My dad came into the room

"Wow now that's my daughter I can't believe that you would do that to him baby girl." I smiled at him "Well I'm your daughter and my daddy didn't raise no fool and thanks for letting me do this on my own daddy." he gave me a hug "Well I will leave y'all two alone but when y'all are done come downstairs and eat." I smiled at him "Okay dad we will and thank you." He left downstairs

Marcus looked at me "So does that mean we can be together Jazzy?" I looked at him "Well we can give it a chance Marcus." He gave me hug "Thanks baby girl and don't worry I will be more than you will ever think." I smiled at him "Well now we have to tell my dad I hope that he will be okay with it." He gave me a kiss "Okay well let's go talk to him babe." He gave me his hand to hold as we went downstairs. Everyone was sitting at the table eating some chicken and rice. Me and Marcus sat down to eat some food. After everyone got done eating the boys cleaned up while we went to watch some TV. I looked at Ashley "So I can do your invitations for the wedding mom?" She looked at me and smiled at me "Sure I would love for you to do that baby girl if you don't mind at all Jazzy?"

I smiled at her "No I will be happy to do them what color are you doing the wedding ?" She looked at me "Well I want to do it purple and gold." I smiled at her "Wow those colors are perfect." I smiled at her. I went to grab my paper and pencil to draw some cool ideas for the invitations. Marcus came up to me "Well I talked to your dad and he told me it was okay for us to date and I will walk with you in the wedding." I gave him a hug "Well do you want to help with an idea for the invitations?" He smiled

"Yeah baby I will help you babe." I love that Marcus is fun to be around I don't feel scared to be around him. We stayed up til 4:00 in the morning trying to find the right idea for the invitations I looked at the drawing that Marcus had drew. "Wow babe you can really draw well lets go lay down we will show Ashley in the morning." He looked at me "You want me to come and sleep in your room." I smiled at him "Yeah what can my dad say you helped me with the drawing." I grabbed his hand and pulled him upstairs. We laid down in the bed I put on Water Horse. I feel asleep half way through the movie. I could feel Marcus's arms around me. I woke up around 12:00 I didn't see Marcus anywhere.

I went downstairs to see if Marcus was down there but all I found was Heather. "Where did everyone go?" I asked her she looked at me "I don't know I woke up and no one was here." she told me I went to go take a shower. When I got out I put on my pink polo shirt with my pink shorts and my black high tops. I went downstairs "Let's go Jazzy." I looked at her "Where are we going Heather?" She smiled at me "You will see when we get there just come on why you got to ask so many question." I smiled at her "Okay well lets go Heather." We got into my car and took off somewhere I had no idea where.

We pulled up to a park "What are we doing here?" She looked at me "Just get off with me Jazzy stop being so worried just go out with any open mind." I looked at her "Okay well I will listen to you." We walked for awhile then we came to a building "What is going on here?" I asked as we stepped inside the little building. Everyone was standing there with a cake and some drinks. My dad was cooking some food on the BBQ grill. There was a sign that said HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASMINE! I started crying

Ashley came up to me and gave me a hug "I knew you were going to cry but we wanted this to be the best birthday you have ever had." I gave her a hug "Thank you so much guy honesty I forgot that today was my birthday."
