CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

I can't believe that my dad remembers the promise that me and Marcus made to each other when we were like in fifth grade. "Your right daddy I need to give him some time to him self I hope I didn't lose him as a friend." He gave me a kiss on the head "Just give it time Jasmine he will come back now we are going to leave we will back in the morning." I smiled at him "Okay daddy have fun." He left I wiped my eyes. Heather came into the room "So you ready to have some fun tonight?" I looked at her and smiled "Yeah right now I need to drink." She looked at me "Is it because of Marcus I seen what happen." I looked at her "Yeah I'm just going to give him some time to think about things."

She looked at me "Well go jump in the shower so that way I can get everything ready." I smiled at her "Thanks I will be out in a minute." I grabbed the bag that my black dress was in I was setting the water when I heard Alex's voice I really didn't want to see him or Marcus at this point I just jumped in the shower. After I got out I put on the black short dress than I put my black Jordan's. I have never been the type of girl to wear heels. I stepped outside to see Marcus sitting on my bed I just looked at him

"Jasmine your right I'm so sorry that I flipped out I was just so mad that you would go back to him but as your friend I'm here for you if you need anything." I looked at him I didn't know what to say "Look Marcus I know this guy has hurt me but I want to give it one more chance." He got up and walked towards me "Well I owe you this for your birthday." He handed me a little box I opened it to find a promise ring "I promise that I will always be your friend no matter what happens between us."

I could feel the tears rolling down my face than I felt his hand wipe them away "So do you forgive me friend?" I gave him a big hug "I thought that I had lost you Marcus." I could feel his hands embrace my body into his "You could never lose me as a friend we made a promise and I'm going to keep it." I smiled at him "Well I'm glade that you are going to be here because I need a drinking buddy."

Heather came into the room "Well I see that y'all made up now can we do your hair and your make up birthday girl." I smiled at her "Yeah let's get this done because I'm ready to party!" I sat there while heather curled my hair. She started doing my make up when I heard people downstairs "What I thought I told everyone to come around 10:30." Heather looked at her phone "Its 10:35 Jasmine."

I was already done but I waited for Heather to get ready so we could go down there together. "Okay are you ready to make this the best night of your life Jazzy?" Marcus asked me I smiled at him "Y'all already made it the best day I could ever ask for guys thanks fir being my friends I couldn't do it without y'all." We all went downstairs I went up to the d.j. he handed me a mic-phone "I just wanted to thank everyone for coming out tonight now let's have a blast." The d.j. started playing music

Everyone started dancing I went to the kitchen to get me a drink "Wow you look so damn hot." a deep voice came from behind me I turned around to see Chris standing there "You made it I thought you wouldn't come." He looked at me "Why wouldn't I come baby?" I smiled at him than handed him a beer "So I was wondering if we could talk Chris?" He smiled at me than he grabbed my hand. He pulled me outside "Okay so what do you want to talk about Jasmine?" I sat down on the bench

"Well I was going to ask if we could try one more time?" He looked at me "You know we can try one more time babe." I looked at him "But the first time you put your hands on me you will have to deal with my dad and I will not stop him from doing what ever he does to you." Chris looked at me "Na you ain't even got to worry about that I have been getting help for that." I gave him a kiss than we went back inside to join the party. I could see Marcus looking at me while I danced with Chris we started smoking than I started taking shots. I was so drunk that I couldn't even walk right. Everyone left

I was so drunk that I don't remember anything that happen after I was dancing with Chris. I woke up somewhere that I didn't know. I felt so sick I ran to find the bathroom so I could throw up all that beer and liquor I drank last night. After I got done I started looking around to find out where the hell I was. I went outside the room I seen Xtra sitting on the couch "Oh shit you awake how do you feel Jasmine?" I looked at him "Not so good where am I?" He smiled at me "Well this is my crib Chris just left he should be back anytime now." I looked at him "How did I get here?" He started laughing

The door open and Chris walked in "Good morning baby how you feeling?" I smiled at him "I have a big head ache I don't ever want to drink like that again." He started laughing "Well I went to the store to get you some pills that will help with the hang over." I went to sit down on the couch "How did I get here Chris?" He looked at me "Well last night you told me that you wanted to get away so I bought over here but you feel asleep in the car so I laid you down." I smiled at Chris but I was thinking in my head that he was just trying to be nice. "Well I better get back home babe I will text you when I get there." I was getting my stuff together "Let me drop you off Jasmine I don't want you walking."

He dropped me off at my house I went inside to go lay down because I still felt like I was drunk. When I laid down my dad came into the room "Did you have fun last night baby girl?" I looked at him "Yeah I really did but I think I got drunk." As soon as I told him that I felt the vomit coming up I ran to the bathroom. I barley made it I was so sick I brushed my teeth than I went to go lay down. My dad was laughing at me "Okay I'm going to let you get your sleep so you don't feel so bad I love you Jazzy."
