~Cher POV~
"Girls, you are not-" Simon started, and I nearly broke down right them and there until I heard the next words that came out of his mouth.
"Going to be disappointed." He finished, and, in that moment, I broke. Overwhelming happiness took hold of me, and tears fell freely down my cheeks. Normally, I hate crying in front of everyone, but at this point, in this place, I could care less. My hand rose to my mouth, and my body shook. I made it.
Suddenly, two arms wrapped around me. I don't even know who she was, all I know is that we were both crying, and neither of us cared who the other was. We were through. We were through. We were through.
And that's all that mattered.
Backstage, everyone was in utter chaos. Screaming, crying, hugging a random stranger. Some even managed to call their family members, who joined in the shock.
My tear-stained cheeks were the only remnant of my breakdown earlier, and now I stood there, clinging into Katie.
"We made it..." I whispered, and she nodded, her cheeks damp as well. I couldn't keep the grin off of my face.
"Excuse me," a man said, pulling me off of Katie. "We would like to borrow you for a minute." I nodded, allowing myself to be taken to the edge of the crowd. I once again felt the camera in my face. "Tell us what you are feeling."
"I can't believe it. I can't." I told the camera, sure that my makeup was at least smudged, but in that moment, I could care less.
~Louis POV~
I literally ran around hugging random strangers. I haven't a clue what was wrong with me. Whatever it was, I didn't ever want to lose the feeling that had taken over me. I made it. Half the acts gone and I had made it.
"I can't believe it. I can't." A girl told the camera, about two yards away. Her cheeks were clearly damp, but the look in her eyes told me that she didn't care. Her brown hair was piled on her head, and her brown eyes twinkling. The girl's hands were wringing slightly, her face open and amazed. She hadn't thought she'd make it.
"Cher!" A voice exclaimed, as a boy ran up to her. I recognized him. His name was Liam, I think. His voice was...good. As anyone's was at this point, I suppose. She turned around, and hugged him.
I chuckled when he blushed, his eyes wide. He obviously hadn't seen that coming. I felt a twinge of something in my chest, and, confused, I blinked. What was that all about?
"Whatcha lookin' at?" One of my new friends, Aiden asked. My eyes widened when I realized I had been staring.
"Uh...nothing!" I replied, trying to hide the blush on my face, by looking at the ground. He chuckled.
"Whatever, man." Aiden decided to stay out of it, stepping back slightly. I smiled faintly. That was one of the main reasons I liked Aiden. He didn't pry.

"Today, you're going to learn how to dance." Simon told us, as half of the stage erupted into cheers, and the other half tried to shrink themselves into the background. I just kind of stood there, stunned. I couldn't dance!
"This isn't going to be a judged part of the competition. But be daring, be brave, be unique." He finished, and, while most of the crowd was heaving a sigh of relief, I saw a couple people, clearly dancers, smirking. I sighed. Dancing. Okay, Louis, you can do this. They won't cut you, even if you fail.
Which, being me, of course I would fail.

Beads of sweat sat on my forehead as I, once again, ran through the routine. Surprisingly, I didn't suck. I realized about half way through that trying to make it perfect wasn't going to do anything, so I just decided to have fun with it.
