Chapter 13 - Summer Solstice

"Avoir un jour briller maitre!" A patron had walked out with a huge grin on his face as Mayu said her farewell to him. She knew that only a select few people could actually understand her French but that was alright, she was happy to see them and even happier that they left with a smile on their face. The floppy bunny sighed happily while turning around to serve her patrons once more, she refilled their coffee, and then the bell rang but it was Kairi's turn.

However the voice made a silent groan escape her throat, "Is Bun Bun here? I'd like her."

A single ruby eye twinkled dangerously while the man was sat in her section, she purposely dropped a menu on the table, "Take your time." She turned around hastily and stalked off while another man asked for her. This time she was ecstatic as it was the person she was looking for, the man was sat down in her section, she squatted near him, and asked him quietly what he would like.

"I want one of those marsh coffees."

"PARFAIT!" He chuckled as she hopped off to get his order while she left the other male to sit there and watch her. Unfortunately Takashi wasn't there that day nor was Kyoya or the others that were her friends and while Mayu was in the back making the coffee she quickly texted Mori and Mitsukuni that Daiki was there. She hid her phone in her bra inside her corset and finished off the black coffee, Mayu made sure to take a marshmallow creation that was in the shape of a lucky cat. The floppy maid carefully brought the coffee to the man, "Here you are master. I do hope that you like it."

"Of course I will Bun Bun, I enjoy everything you bring me."

"Merveilleux!"

He smiled, "I'm going to go with your special today."

"Ah! The Crisp Carrot is truly delectable today."

"Is it now?"

The man wore a smile as she nodded fervently, "Of course! I personally stole the carrots!"

He laughed, "Alright then. I'll take the Crisp Carrot."

Mayu nodded, leaned over, and slid the menu off the table while whispering, "I have a favor to ask of you sir. The man sitting adjacent to you is Daiki Honto. He is a relative of mine and wants me as his wife even though I am already engaged. He's been hounding me ever since the reunion last week even though I have explicitly told him that I refuse his advances. Is there anything you can do to help me? Name your price." She was glad that he used the same quiet tone as she had.

"Daiki Honto, isn't he a high-ranking city official?"

"Yes."

"Who is your husband?"

"Takashi Morinozuka."

The man smiled at Mayu, "Bun Bun you bring a smile to my face every time I come in here. Of course I will help you. As far as the price, I'd like to know your real name."

"Mayu Ishikawa."

The man blinked many times before smiling, "I'm Yoshi Kirikage."

"Pleased to meet you!"

"And I you. I can help you, I have a friend who is far more powerful than your despicable relative over there."

Mayu clapped her hands together, "Ah! Thank you so much!"
