Chapter 22 - Shadows Cast by Light

The days wore on from Monday to Friday, it was the same for Mayu, she was happy, and wore a smile as bright as the shining rays of the sun. Crimson eyes never lost their sparkle and her mind could only think about the day when Kuyomi would be with her although other thoughts always ran rampant alongside the good ones. She was currently in a photo shoot with Yue when a thought crossed her mind that was so sexual that it startled her into blushing. Yue paused while he waited for her to compose herself, luckily Mori had left to use the restroom, and the blush faded. The picture was snapped, the male strode up to her, leaned down, and asked, "Something lewd in your mind dear maiden?"

She immediately laughed while he smirked, "I'm sorry Yue."

"It's quite alright although I'd be careful with your thoughts around him. I'm sure he wouldn't leave you alone about it and then he'd do something to endlessly tease you until you told him."

"You're very right Yue."

"Ah ha! I thought so." He smiled at her while she grinned, "We're done for the day. I hear that you need to get some supplies for a new addition to your little household."

"I do! This Sunday, it's going to be a whole girl's escapade."

"Ah I wish I could go but alas I cannot!" Mayu chuckled while Mori had returned to stare at them, she was relaxed in her position as Yue spoke quietly with her, red eyes shining, and flashing a happy smile. Takashi gave a small smile as he watched the two converse over something he couldn't hear but he knew it was making her happy. Mayu got up from the bench that was there, headed into the changing room, and Yue turned to glance at Mori. The photographer trotted over and whispered, "Mayu had an impure thought cross her mind." The Morinozuka male only stared at him while he grinned, winked, and disappeared into his work space. She returned from changing, waved to Yue, and followed Mori out of the studio, once in the warm air, she looked up at the cloudy sky.

"Hm..."

"Something wrong Snowbelle?"

She was focused on the sky, something tugging at her soul, she knew that her ladyship was trying to tell her something but she wasn't sure what it was, "I'm not sure Taka...I'll have to meditate later. Would you like to join me?" Those cherry orbs turned onto his dark ones and he nodded, "It'll be fun!"

"I know it will." They proceeded to walk towards her home since it was so nice outside, her hand entwined with his, and he smiled. Abruptly he stated, "Yue said you had an impure thought." He could tell it affected her greatly as her face turned as red as her eyes, her gaze averted his, and he only chuckled in response. "Whatever it may be, I'm sure we can deal with it in time." Mayu's lips tugged into a smirk as she nodded and they continued on in silence. The pair were happy and Mori noticed that she stayed close to his side only because she was wary of any spots where Daiki could be hiding, even though things with him had been taken care of. Immediately he removed his hand from hers and wrapped it snugly around her waist to bring her in towards his body. She bumped into him, her face glanced up at him, and he smiled. Takashi placed a kiss on her head, she smiled, "I'll protect you no matter what Snowbelle."

"I know but one can never be too careful."

"Very true." There was silence once more, "I asked the Twins for something for you." Her eyebrows perked up to show her surprise, he kissed the top of her head once more, "But you won't see it until the wedding." She chuckled, "I hope you'll like it."
