Chapter 20 - Nekozawa's Beach Retreat

Chapter 20 - Nekozawa's Beach Retreat

Long white ears hung down to curve around her bust, the tight mini dress was white with black trim on it to resemble a radio. Singular red eye watched everyone with a shining interest, the patrons were staring at the two bunnies that day, they even wore headphones, and the special that day was Ello-Radio. Apparently it was the most popular pastry that had ever been created in the Castle, Mayu was watching the floor while Kairi had to run in the back. Her red eye was shining as was her smile, everyone was happy, and the details of her radio interview for that day were written on the blackboard. Mori was sitting in his corner, watching her, the moment Kairi reappared; Mayu darted to refill the coffee of her patrons. Kyoya had come in that day along with the Twins, they were sitting with Mori, and it was then that the Twins saw him shift uncomfortably. They grinned at one another while Kyoya looked at them, "What are you two grinning about?"

"Nothing," they replied in unison.

"Uh-huh. It's never nothing with you two."

They continued to grin while ideas were floating through their minds about the new upcoming live summer campaign. Kaoru looked at Kyoya and Mori, "Are you two going to the Beach Retreat by Umehito?" They stared at him, "Mayu sent us a text message saying that he's planning this big summer vacation for a weekend. I know Kairi already gave her all of Saturday off for it and we'll all be gathering there late afternoon today so I was wondering if you two were going." The two nodded, "Good because Hikaru and I have something for Mayu!" It was then that Kyoya noticed Mori shift, he jotted something down in his little black book, and all of their attention was back on the Floppy Frenchy.

She bounced around the cafe with her own energy, happy and shining like the sun that shone on the cloudless day outside. Mayu was wished well on her interview, she smiled at them, thanked the patrons, and blessed them. They all said that they would listen to it and she thanked them ever moreso as they left, her smile made her ruby eye twinkle. The rush died down, she started on her side work, and then Kairi exclaimed, "YOU'RE DONE BUN BUN!" The maiden literally jumped, she glanced over her shoulder at her boss, the other woman was grinning, and Mayu's heart was pounding as she replied, "Allez profiter de votre petit vacances à la plage. Ayez beaucoup de bonnes décisions de l'amour!" The others were wondering what was said to her since her face flushed a red so deep that she looked like a strawberry. Kairi grinned, "I also know French! Go on. You've done your work."

Hikaru approached her, he paid the bill, and handed her a bag, "This is for you. We're coming with you to the interview so we can wait for you."

"Th-th-thank y-y-you H-H-Hikaru."

"Are you alright?" She nodded fervently while high-tailing it to the back so fast that her little fluffy tail was swaying like a gust of wind was blowing it. Mori shifted once more, the twin took a seat, and their table was cleaned off by Saki. They said their farewells to the Castle staff, they exited, and waited for Mayu to reappear. The Light Maiden exited the Castle, the staff exclaimed how beautiful she was, and she could only thank them for their hard work. The door opened and Hikaru exlcaimed, "There's our ray of light!" Mayu was wearing a dark orange short qipao dress that was adorned with a yellow floral pattern with yellow heels. It cut across her bust, shaped to her chest, and she wore a short matching cardigan to cover her shoulders. "Do you like it?"
