I was just texting makenna about this and I just want to rant about it.

literally fuck you if you're a music elitist lmao. nobody likes you.

just because you think you listen to "punk rock" or "pop punk" doesn't make you any better than anyone else.

grow the fuck up. having a wide spread music taste is good.

I like Panic! and a few other pop punk bands, or whatever you want to call it. but really, all of the music I listen to is so diverse. you try to search for the alternative artists so you can act like you knew them before everybody else, but then you say you only like one certain genre.

news flash. alternative artists are very wide spread.

twenty one pilots, Panic! At The Disco, Halsey, they're all different sounds.

I personally can listen to anything that's good. I even like hip hop and country. I grew up with country, so it's always been around, and then as I grew up, I listened to whatever was on the radio and discovered even more that wasn't on the radio.

I literally have songs from the 60's on my phone, that I downloaded myself, and then next to it, you'll see one direction, (newer) justin beiber.

it's all a matter of opinion. you don't have to like anything you don't like. but don't dislike it just because it's not in "your genre".

and this brings me to 5sos.

I don't like 5sos. not just because I think they're v pop and wanna-be-esque, but because I don't like their music, nor do I like the members/their problematic fandom. but once again, all of that shit comes after the music.

like their songs? no? okay, that's alright. yes? okay, that's alright.
