Achi

We stood apart on either side of the arena. His face read that he was ready for battle, I assumed mine read the same. I was about to fight my greatest enemy in front of my men. I couldn't let them down. Then again this was Balchazar, he's provided for me in the time I've been here, was he really my enemy?

"Alright! This fight is to submission, or to the death. Whichever fits your mood." Kelven the least experienced in the class shouted, "winner, decides who lives, and who dies. Any questions?"

I and Balchazar have one shake of the head as he raised the flag, we tensed.

"Fight!"

We both ran at each other my arrows flying his swords deflecting, until we crashed. The blade on the end of my bow blocking his swords. We pushed off bow and sword drawn.

"Don't hold back Acki." he smirked running at me again.

"Never." acule and I vanished.

"Acki...." gandacheah the first arrow flew.

Lacremi! The rest followed.

Arrow by arrow they flew towards him, each from another angle. Each with higher power.

"Achi!"

As I hid in the rafters as I heard his call, why did I have to do this? Why did I have to decide between what I've always known and my men or Balchazar. Why would I even consider choosing him?

The arrows came faster now I joined in firing towards my enemy, I could no longer see who, but he must die.

Balchazar... Why did he do this?

Balchazar

I deflected arrow after arrow listening for her looking for her.

"Achi!" I called out to her hoping to get the answer. Her magic was getting faster, but more unstable. She was fighting with herself.

I started to point the arrows in diffrent direction. Letting them fly to the shadows where shed be. She started moving allowing me to move towards her.

An arrow flew along with a second and it managed to cut her off, I three myself at her pinning her where she was with the two swords, but something was wrong.

Her eyes where black, her skin pale, her veins darkening. Achi snap out of it. Her men began to back up, they'd most likely seen this before.

The arrows in the air stoped and started to spin lightning shooting out of them as she began to levitate. Something was wrong, I saw it in her eyes, sure they where black, but they where fighting with color. Like she didn't want to do it.

"Achi, look at me." and she did with cold eyes, she reached out and touched my heart. All I felt was a burning sensation before nothing...
