Chapter 25

Shmi's POV

"Hmmm. This does seem to be problematic. I guess we're going to Alderaan!"

Obi-Wan's P.O.V

Beru and Owen slept in their quarters most of the trip. This is the first time they have been in space so it was expected to be tired. Han and Chewbacca pilot the ship as Obi-Wan advises Luke on deflecting blasters. Shmi watches her grandchild with adoration. Obi-Wan watched Luke with pride and sadness, both emotions clashing to be the dominant.

"OW!" Luke clutched his leg where a blaster bolt had hit it.

"That's enou-" Obi-Wan clutched the table next to him. 

"Obi-Wan? Obi-Wan, are you okay?" Shmi asked, putting an arm around his shoulders.

"I-it was like a million voiced suddenly cried out and then disappeared." He said, catching his breath.

"Hold on! We're coming out of hyperspace!" Han called out. They gathered in the cockpit. Millions of rocks surrounded them.

"No....." He uttered, realizing what had happened and why the voices were silenced into an eternal sleep. But no one else had heard him.

"Where's Alderaan?" Han asked to no one in particular. "I typed in the right coordinates!"

"It's been destroyed." He said quietly.

"Destroyed!?" Luke asked him. "How? Why!?"

"The Empire." Was all he had to say. They all stayed quiet while Han flew the Millennium Falcon when Luke exclaimed that there was a moon.

"That's no moon..... Turn around! Get us out of here!" He yelled at Han.

Han struggled to move the ship as it advanced towards the space station.

"I-I can't! We're stuck in a tractor beam!" Han exclaimed. Han proceeded to get up and guide them into the hallway. He lifted up a vent.

"Get in here!"

------I'm Just Going To Skip To The Detention Center Because I'm Lazy------

Shmi's P.O.V

"Leia!" Shmi exclaimed.

"Shmi? What are you doing with a stormtrooper?"

"This isn't a stormtrooper! Luke, take off your helmet."

Luke took off his helmet and dropped it.

"I'm Luke Skywalker. Obi-Wan got your message. He's shutting down the tractor beam."

"Good. Who are the other people?" Leia asked, motioning to Beru and Owen.

"This is my Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen. Chewbacca, a Wookiee, and Han Solo are behind us."

At that moment, those said people came running down the hallway with stormtroopers chasing after them. The entourage quickly took cover.

"Give me that!" Leia snatched the blaster from Luke's hands and blasted a vent. She jumped through the open hole. Owen, Beru, Shmi, Chewbacca, Han, and Luke followed in that order.

------I Know I'm Lazy But I Wanna Get This Chapter Out As Soon As Possible------

They quickly ran to the unguarded Millennium Falcon. Everyone entered except Luke and Shmi, who watched the fight with dread. The stormtroopers were distracted by the fight between master and apprentice. Obi-Wan stopped and positioned his lightsaber in front of him.

"NO!!" She screamed.

Vader turned to her and froze. The stormtroopers did now freeze; however, they started shooting.

"Stop shooting!" Vader's menacing voice echoed throughout the hangar. The blaster bolts stopped immediately. Obi-Wan, taking this opportunity to escape, did just that. He ran. Ran faster than he has in twenty years.

"Shoot him!" The black husk's voice sounded.

Luke and Shmi ran into the safety of the ship as Obi-Wan boarded the ship. The ship quickly hovered off the ground and flew into the blackness of space.

A/N: I know it's short but I wanted to push this chapter out before any of you think that I have abandoned this story. I promise you, as a fanfiction reader myself, I will never abandon a story. I hate when I read a really good story but it got abandoned. If I really didn't want to continue this story, I would delete it. I've been so so so so so busy and I'm so sorry about the delay. Thanks for staying this long! I love you guys!
